How are the Forest ticket sales going

It is obviously personal choice to attend or not .

However, what it does do is highlight for me the philosophy of “you get what you pay for”. If people dont pay to come through the turnstiles they then cannot complain about the quality of player the club is able to invest in . The likes of Clarke Harris often referred to will never come here .

When I was a lad the FA cup was the biggest club competition in the world for me. Coverage would start hours before the final and I was glued to it with the excitement building up to 3pm. The best sides would play their best team when a shock really was a shock. Now it's a chance to look at your fringe players or even a youth team that Liverpool put out a couple of years ago. Shame but like it or not it's a very different competition and nowhere near as appealing.... to me anyway!

I’m going, but fully understand why others aren’t, I probably wouldn’t go if I had a three hour round trip, was unemployed or poorly

Still, the numbers reported on here are pretty disappointing

Really can't believe people thought this would be anywhere near sold out, it was never going to be.
That seems to be the source of some of the backlash from some, they've misjudged the appeal of the game and other factors and are now taking shots at the fanbase.

Let's take the game vs Northampton following a great win at Portsmouth.

Attendance 9058 on a Tuesday night. That includes not many away fans and how many home fans actually there as opposed to counted. 8k maybe slightly less?

Not sure what some expect.

Forest sold out the east last time. So why are they only bringing half? Should they be disappointed too? Or are there factors involved?

Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, it would of been a sell out. Notts Forest?...nah

I'm suffering from the flu so I've got my excuse for not going
Getting Forest again doesn't help, a new team is a bit more interesting. If we got them next year the appeal would fall again.

From a Forest perspective, they came last year and lost, it's on TV, transport may be difficult due to the weather, same excitement as us regarding a Friday night in Bristol etc. 2000 isn't that bad. The hard core will be there tonight, from both sides.

Forest are not a great pull, we'd get loads more for a West Ham or a Villa. Also there have been a lot of home games recently, nobody paid since Xmas, weather etc. It's a night for quality over quantity. There can still be a great atmosphere.

At a guess the attendance will be around 8-8.5k tonight. Bolton had 10k last night against a bottom third PL team. We are in a similar situation and this isn't a glamour tie by any stretch of the imagination.

In comparison I don't think tonight's crowd will be too bad. I think people had maybe set their expectations a little bit too high. I know it's only ÂŁ15 but I think that's irrelevant. If we drew Man Utd at home it would have been a sell out at ÂŁ30 a ticket.

It’s not only the fans who’ve misjudged the appeal of the game , so have the club . They must have believed that the good folk of Blackpool would turn out for this game , otherwise they would only have opened the north and the west stands . I bet the club is disappointed with the sales at least so far .

What’s going on with family stand and block F? Ground is empty yet the bottom 12 rows of both of them are booked out.

And they were right to believe that. Team has been playing well at home and put in a solid performance to earn a replay and yet people still can’t be arsed.

Pitiful.

Possibly a little.

But they probably expected Forest to take most the east no doubt.

If they had known they might have put them in the South.

But then again, they were probably trying to create hype and ST seats being reserved meant it had to be all seats or people in the South would be left out.

It is what it is.

The South is always half empty (or full 🤔) so better to have fans in the usual layout and behind each goal.

I'm sure like with all cup games some go and buy on the night.

I can't wait for the end of the January window when all the dodgy firestick warriors are moaning "sAdLeR ShOw SoMe AmBiTiOn", but tonight was a chance to put ÂŁ150k into the club and they spurned it because it's a bit chilly (or even better "I've seen Forest play plenty of times"). Pathetic.

Well, it’s way too far for me and I’ve just got in from work but bought my Stevenage ticket online earlier. Peterborough and Northampton to come then there’s Derby, Orient and Reading too.

It's also on ITV4 so most if not all can access this (legally) and my old man who's 79 has, like others, decided there's no point in getting cold so he's staying home and watching on the telebox. There's more mitigating factors than just "firestick warriors" not putting their hands in their pockets.
