How many would we take to Wembley?

In the hypothetical situation that we make it to the EFL final, how many fans would we take?

I've been to every big final Wembley or Cardiff since Torquay except the ones in this competition and I wouldn't go to this one. Completely pointless competition and exercise.
Edit...I did miss Exeter!
Just shows our true support when teams take 30000+
Both Cardiff EFL finals were a good Weekend away.

To be honest I hope we don’t make it to the final although I will still go.
We have one to look forward to in May!

I'd guess cat 6 might be right at the very back. I reckon you could get cat 6 tickets and once inside the stadium overlooking the pitch move a lot further down.
Wouldn't want the faff if I'm honest to save £20ish to be put in the top tier when there would be around ten of us.

Depends on the vibes, feel good factor, around the club at time, everyones a bit iffy at the moment with the inconsistency. If we're on a storming run and pushing for automatic the bounce around the club could see us pushing 25k. If nothing changes probably around 15k.

I never write this competition off I view it as the lower leagues FA Cup.
Had 2 great stays at the Millstad watching us win it twice, and we should never pass up any opportunity to play at Wembley, you never know when the next chance will come.

I’ve enjoyed the competition more than the league I’d definitely go to the final if we were to get there. Not bothered about the league anymore think that’s a right off but this we have a slight chance in it.

Depends on the vibe leading up to it.

Can't see more than 17/8k even with a good vibe. A lot will have wembley weariness.
Weariness? The last time most people got to watch Blackpool at Wembley was 2012.

I know it’s expensive and completely understand that some people couldn’t justify the expense right now but if people can’t get up for watching us in a final at Wembley then I don’t know what to say.

We have been pretty lucky for a club our size and have had more than our fair share of playoff/LDV finals but there’s no guarantee we’d be back again anytime soon. It’s what watching Blackpool is all about for me, taking that shot at a day in the sun!

I don't really enjoy trips to Wembley, obviously I'm glad when we get there because the team is doing well but I just don't enjoy the Wembley experience.
The day goes downhill when you leave central London for the shitty pubs around the stadium, and the stadium itself doesn't do much for me.
I'd probably go but I much preferred our trips to Cardiff for the general experience outside of the actual events on the pitch.

Bolton and Plymouth having far superior population sizes would have a to do with it.

Bolton 285,000
Plymouth 242,000.

Blackpool 144,000
Plus the fact, when was the last time either of those two were last at Wembley?
It's still a big thrill for those teams, and without being blasè we have been there quite a few times over the last couple of decades 😏

IMO we'd probably take 15-20,000

What do you mean?

No all teams get to go to Wembley as much as we've been, nor do many have to travel as far.

The big occasion days tend to attract the whole fanbase, plus family members etc.

That's how 15k can turn into 30k+.

We have way more fans than our bigger home attendances, as many still work or are exiles. There's probably easily 15k who if it was a huge home game, they were off work, etc etc then they might go. But the nature of a lot of the towns work being hospitality doesn't help us.

Then you add in people who may support us but not really attend games at all, just look out for results etc, lapsed fans, the casuals. Add in the family members of fans and friends etc and you get the Wembley 35k.

I'm not sure I'd bother to be honest, can't stand Wemberleee at the best of times, although I do like the top tier and it's North Face of the Eiger challenge.

Firstly, it’s not really a day in the sun, just a competition, not theFA Cup.

Next we’ve been to finals, more meaningful finals a fair few times. If the competition is seen as low importance then older type supporters may give it a miss for that reason.

As I say it will depend on the mood at the time.

Cardiff a much superior trip

Fair enough, each to their own I guess.

Will it seem low importance if we get to the final though? I was only a kid when we won the two LDV finals but even the Northern Finals seemed biggish occasions, and the finals themselves are great memories. Nowhere near the importance of a playoff final but certainly some of my best memories of watching us as a kid. I’m glad my Dad could be arsed to take me.

I wasn't a kid but the LDV was a big deal from the semi final stage back then. We'd had years of neglect and basically being kicked in the teeth, so the prospect of actually winning something got people excited. Even then, and OK with a smaller fan base, I think we took 20k and 15k for the next (I stand by to be corrected). With recent successes on the pitch (PL and more recently the Cship) I don't see the final attracting the 20k as above, not with the cost involved- a STH may go but will they take the family or curious friends?

I agree that we wouldn’t take a particular big following, it’s hardly a draw for the more ‘casual’ fan. I just can’t get my head around proper pool fans picking and choosing between Wembley finals as though we’re Man City. As I said earlier, I get it if it’s a financial decision as the tickets for last years final we’re far too expensive.

Been a while since everyone could go .. last time West Ham which will be 12 years ago and so I'd say 25k
