How much is stability worth?

Some clubs seem to change managers frequently like Watford but it does not instantly turn them into a basket case that players avoid.
With the clamour around binning off our head coach and Mansford, are we hoping a new man at the helm will lift us to play off contenders.
A new manager will face exactly the same issues as Appleton does at the moment in working with a pool of players that he inherited, and a large percentage of sicknotes. The only manager I would want in preference to Appleton is Robins joining his ex colleagues from Coventry, but that is unlikely as they are playoff hopefuls only a few weeks after being relegation fodder

what I want for my team is the stability of being an established Championship club. Looking higher than that at the moment is unrealistic. Sure, I'd love another spell in the PL, but first things first, let's get established in this division.I'd guess that's Sadlers aim too. As for Appleton being the right man to bring stability, well I'd guess that for too many we've gone past that point.

Does make you wonder if those two jumped ships if Robins would be happy to do the same?
