Hull - most goals conceded in the division

But they still beat us rather easily at Bloomfield Road.
That was a horrible side against Hull and, in fairness to Appleton, we'd just come off a great performance against Sheff Utd but had 3 key players from that game sent off and thus suspended. In many ways I think those decisions at Sheff Utd have been a catalyst for what has followed and on Sunday with a much better squad to choose from it would be a good time to make amends.

Granted injuries & suspensions & previous games efforts when we played Hull earlier. They played with an energy & tempo that was head & shoulders above anything that I’ve seen from us this season.

We are 18th in terms of goals scored and 22nd in terms of goals conceded .. and so if we can tighten up at the back more and improve our goals scored a bit we should be fine. Plus keeping XI players on the pitch and avoiding any more injuries would be nice!

Surely being 1st in number of goals conceded is worse than being 22nd?🤔

This thread is full of ifs what’s and buts and the biggest but is none of it will win us a football match.
Appleton is not the one to keep us in this Division.

If we can score one more goal, at least, than the team we are playing, then we will win the game. The more times we do that, then the more games we will win. Dead easy really!
