Well, it looks like well have to put Oxford to the sword again on Friday and maybe then, MAYBE they may just realise they've got an unbelievable squad of players to support.

Not at all.

The reality is this is not over, hopefully it will be - but it isn’t yet.

Yes I am confident BUT we know footy can throw up improbable results and come backs.

We should start with our strongest 11 and treat it like any other game - IF we are in a decent place with 15-20 mins to go, then and only then can we consider bringing the more important players off.

To think that it would be impossible for Oxford to do it, shows complete lack of knowledge of football.

The players will know that Oxford could do it and that is a good thing as it should focus their minds.

UTMP always, but don’t kid yourself that Oxford cannot do this…..

I know they can. But I'm 99% certain they won't and it's kind of disrespectful to our players to think they will somehow capitulate based upon a game 25 years ago. We will win the game.

Ok. Defeatist. Critch will be in the dressing room saying "well lads, just go cautious. Just be defensive and careful. If they score lets panic and go into our shell. And don't forget, there are a handful of people on AVFTT that can list every game in the last 50 years that we've been in front by 2 or more goals but lost and can somehow link it to this squad. Three nil away is never enough for them to show any sign of positivity. They just harp on and on about defeats of the past".

No, it isnt over but if you had to put your life savings on the outcome of who was going to progress to the final who would it go on? Honestly.
I love the fact that the last time Blackpool conceded 3 or more goals was AWAY from home in November last year and since then Blackpool have kept clean sheets in 18 matches plus 1 play off match.
I certainly hope none of you lot are associated with any motivational speech companies 🤣🤣🤣🧡👍🏻

You have no idea what NC will say in the dressing room - you can guess but you don’t know.

There was definitely something fishy about the Bradford game that’s for sure.I know there would of been another game to get through but some rumours doing the rounds was that the players were covering their bonus for going up by backing Bradford to qualify,now that could all be bollox but it absolutely stank that night,the players went out on the piss after the game it just didn’t feel right at all,the 3-0 will be enough to take us to Wembley.they may well score but so will we.

I wouldn’t put my life savings on it.

Many times I have learnt the hard way in football and especially betting.

Many years ago I tried to buy 100 quid off a bookies with backing Rangers with a grand to win at home.

It finished 1-1.

Blackpool are 1/100 not to get to Wembley.

Agree, but not overly relevant for the point I made or the bet, as they were MUCH better at the time than any league team they played.

Hence the bet and it still went against me.

That is a load of bollox Wizzer, it’s well documented I have been a positive poster all season but I believe in caution and not tempting fate and being prepared for anything out on that pitch this is sport stranger things have happened. The players and Critch will have exactly the same mindset it is only half time. Celebrate at the end when the job is hopefully done. Then 24 hours later re group and get serious again for the final.

No it's you who shouldn't be involved in any pre-match speech,
Ok lads these are just crap, we don't have to even get out of first gear, because we have the best defence in the league, and we have the best goalkeeper,we don't even need to try very hard and if we go a goal down don't worry we've got the crowd on our side!

I'm not suggesting they will capitulate, in fact I'm very confident they won't, but planning for Wembley now is disrespectful to the professionals on both sides. As such, I'm not panicking over the game but I'm not taking anything for granted, especially as us and many others have been burned by complacency before.

Or the handful of people on Avftt that doubted Critch his players his tactics the board for 4/5ths of the season but now think it’s ok to preach to the converted. We were there a long time before you, we wholeheartedly believe and have done since day 1. But we still have a job to do, I am 100% sure Critch and his team will be ready, willing and able to finish the job as they won’t be in any way treating the game lightly.

Agree wholeheartedly although without my glasses on I read ‘Bummed’ by complacency, which I thought maybe a little harsh but I guess both words work in essence.
 
I can see Oxford giving everything and maybe winning. But they won’t win by 3 or more. Nothing wrong with keeping your head down and not being unbearable gloating tossers after the first leg of a two legged affair.

No need to tempt fate and print Wembley directions either. Google it

No-one is saying it's likely. We're just saying it isn't totally impossible and we shouldn't take it as given until it is. I can't see why there's so much difficulty in getting that? You can quote me stats and odds all day long but it still doesn't make overturning the deficit impossible. It's highly unlikely, and I'm relatively calm but until we're confirmed as finalists we need to take the game very seriously.
