I enjoy seeing posters who think that they are superior making themselves look like arseholes ! I've made some good pals on here over the last 20 years and I've never met them ! Also, when posters need help, there is a massive outpouring of collective support and advice. A good place to be !

I have to admit I’m a bit anal about spelling too. I can’t even bring myself to abbreviate when texting and have been known to correct people… 😀

My daughters used to sneak on and spy on me occasionally but I think the novelty has worn off now so I can be naughty when I want 😏

The best was when my 2 daughters were
my profile pic and some lad my youngest daughter went to school with texted her and said ‘ wtf is your face doing on avftt ? 🤣🤣🤣’

Well I have to admit that I’ve had to show restraint sometimes and not write things that I’ve been tempted to. My younger son reads it too and often takes the mickey out of my username, saying it in a ‘posh’ voice which always amuses me.
 
I don't love AVFTT, this site makes for horrendous reading because at least half of the posters on here are-

1) Reactionaries
2) ITK Posers
3) People who don't read already posted threads before posting their own.

Deciding to continually post on here is very much a self loathing adventure.
 
The breadth and depth of conversation is brilliant.

There are some very funny moments.

The whole spectrum of emotion's can and are shared.

It's also a place which allows us to put our money where are mouths are. I've co-sponsored a player, I've helped pay for Wembley tickets, contributed to paying off our previous owners, given money to charity bike rides and bought Jane a drink; I'm not sure I'd have been able to do that in other way.

And we've all done it!!

Been a poster for 15 years, a reader for far longer.

I love this place.

Like a big family, some uncle knobheads and and an odd not right amongst us just like a normal family UTMP
 
Love it,don’t understand why but it’s addictive,I usually get in late & go on here for 20 minutes as I’ve got other things to get done but it ends up being a couple of hours or more so things get put off until the next day,always have a laugh at some of the bonkers posts & I find it to be the best place to find out about new signings etc,wouldn’t even consider doing any other form of social media,we all have an opinion of other posters & I wonder what they are like in non AVFTT mode as well as what they look like,I only know two personally ( one of them met Phil at a train station in wales and said he was a really nice bloke!!)
the only drawback is if I read my posts the next day after having a few beers the night before & realise what an absolute load of shite I’ve posted so I decide to keep away from the board for a few days whilst I sink into a deep depression and state of self loathing,then hey presto I get a like & I’m back on track until the next time,I don’t even know why I care anyway as you’re all a bunch of tossers

It’s a great way to keep Blackpool close when on the other side of the world.

I have met some great people off here who I would not otherwise know.

The travel tips are generally outstanding.

A bit of a wind up and a good debate.

I 💕 AVFTT because nobody judges you.......it's a haven of understanding for like minded football fans, a place where everyone has their say and they wont be judged or ridiculed, a place where everyone cares.........

And you can write total Bu11#hit and laugh at stupid people from Preston.............That's mainly why I come here
 
There could be improvements though. AN FAC, glossary section and "unresolved posts" section for starters:
  • What is Phil's law?
  • Who was Sammy Brownpants?
  • What was the Rabbit thread about?
  • Why is the Windmill a potentially scary place?
  • What is Chizzlish?
  • What's the significance of Barnet away?
  • What's this about Brett and Twirls?
  • Did Mozalini ever cop off with that somewhat "robust" lady from PLF?
  • Etc
