I offended the mrs

My wife is a Nobber.
On Tuesday evening I was watching the mighty.
She remarked "What is Maxwell doing playing for you lot?"
Without hesitation I replied "He saw the f##kin# light."
The lady of the house wasn't happy. 🧡🤣🧡🤣
Spare a thought for Allez other half as he has also played for the Cods aswell😀

I agree. Some people don't get it. If you support Blackpool you do not go anywhere near someone who supports that club. I have gone my whole life avoiding the place except when supporting the mighty, and never employing people from the town. How you can make a joke of actualy marrying some one from there is way beyond me.

My housemate is from Preston and grew up ‘going ont nobbers’. We’re in the process of putting up all the derby day programmes on our walls.

My lad was picked up by the Nobbers whilst at Morecambe Academy.
He played a season for Gary Peters, including a game against Blackpool. I watched the contest with no issues about loyalty.
Wanted him to have a good game, but lose.
Unfortunately, neither happened.
He remains tangerine through and through btw, but what could I do when the Lilyshites knocked on the door (apart from move)?

I agree. My mum was a nobber, and as soon as I exited the womb I remained socially distant thereafter.…unwittingly she prepared me for pandemic protocols 😎

In our youth we occasionally ventured into nobber land, and the odd night out at Tokyo Jo’s. We may have shagged a nobber bird or two, but never, never did any of us bloody marry one!

My husband is Preston born n bred he’s never supported the nobbers always had a season ticket for BFC.
Was fantastic in 2010 when we were promoted to the premier league in the May as it was his mums 75th birthday in the July and she had a do in Preston The DJ She booked was also from Blackpool 😂😂😂😂 and he played i gotta feeling and glad all over and there I was dancing on the table pissed up chanting Blackpool Blackpool etc etc. Not one of the family said a word they were sat round the table with their arms out ready to catch me if I fell. Don’t think his uncle has spoken to me more than three times since( nobber). Was a fab night though and one I will never forget

As a young man met a beautiful lady in London at a party, was going great guns till she said she supported Preston. I moved on.
I was looking at a new housing development sometime back and liked the plot / design - then they said it was going to be on Lillywhite Close - bye

I went to a 50th do & the guy was a Preston supporter, we also got the DJ to play Glad All Over. As it was in Blackpool & around our successful period many joined in. All just banter as far as I’m concerned. 😂
