I did the same calcs the other night. Lincoln won’t fancy Pompey at home needing to win. I also don’t think they’ll beat Wigan either for some reason. It all hinges on Oxford and Lincoln drawing.

Just looking at tomorrow's fixtures and there's every chance Lincoln and Oxford could both lose. One more win for Oxford though and its game over.

That's not beyond the bounds of possibility. Its us winning 5 on the bounce (2 already won) that's a stretch.

The way I have been looking at it is…

Oxford 6 points (2W 2L)
Lincoln 7 points (2W 1D 1L)
Pool 9 points (3W)

So both us and Oxford on 76 but we will have to overturn a 2 goal deficit and Lincoln 75 points. It’s very doable but at the same time very heart over head. The bookies don’t think we will do it. They aren’t wrong often (though I hope they are this time)

Pompey will already be promoted by the time they play the imps, they’ll be on a beach somewhere warm !

I do like your optimism but I’m afraid we’re going to just fall short when in reality we should have secured a place in the playoffs ages ago.

Don't really fancy us today with the lack of goals & Carlisle possibly starting the winning games now relegated scenario. Hoped to be proved wrong.

It's a tricky game.
Despite Carlisle already being relegated, the players & coaches are under no pressure, other than they're playing for pride & preparing for positions next season.
However, I've predicted we'll win.

Thinking Agent Simmo should at least play it open rather than 11 behind the ball, give us half a chance.

Job done.
Brett said Carlisle were awful and it was like a training game - thanks agent Simmo!
Tuesday's games will be interesting. But I'm not going to pay any interest until I look at the final scores at 10pm

It's a tricky game!!?
FFS they are relegated for a reason, they're shite.
The fact we could only score 1 goal against them tells you more about our season than it does about theirs.

Portsmouth beat Barnsley on Tuesday. Oxford beat Lincoln.

We beat Barnsley next Saturday, and Reading the week after, both one nil.

If Barnsley don’t win their last match we are in the play offs (on goal difference if Barnsley draw their last game).

We get Apter and Rhodes back and beat Bolton four three at Wembley.

I have had a couple or three now mind.

The problem with any predictions is that they are usually flawed! I had a go with 10 games to go and quite simply was shocking!

Have an Ovaltine & calm down Wizz or you risk having a thrombie!
As Brett said in commentary "there's no easy games in football at this time of the season". I think he knows a little more than you do!
Leeds lost at home to Rovers & Leicester lost at Plymouth. You wouldn't have forecast those results ..... do you see the point I was making?
Carlisle & Pool both played poorly, but we won the 3 points (as I predicted), which is more than the two teams at the top of the Championship did!

This is exactly how it will play out, up to the last two sentences 👍🤞

A great win tonight for Cheltenham too keeps there hopes alive with Lincoln up next. UTMP 🍊

I like the fact Oxford Stevenage on sky, added pressure plus Stevenage will want to put on a good show. Win 4/5 nil they would get an 8/10 goal swing in goal difference, with Cheltenham at home to come. Highly unlikely but if you were Stevenage you would have a go.

Not so...even if we beat Reading and Barnsley draw...if Oxford and Lincoln win...we still miss out on the playoffs....we need 2 teams to f@#k up...I dont think that will happen...but IMO we should never been in this situation and should have made the playoffs earlier...its Critchleys formation/tactics away from home that has killed us...we should have been 442 away from and more solid and compact...we have easily been picked off with no plan B...great first half yesterday...shocking substitutions 2nd half...whatever League we are in next season ..we need a massive clear out and a big shout out to Rhodes..Dembele..Byers and Coulson who have come in and performed admirably...these are the type of players we should be signing long term...I think Dembele if he stays in the UK will have a very successfull Football career....Roll on next week.

5/6 of the play off teams last year played this formation, Buyers and Coulson have made it work, I’ll take that formation and performance yesterday every day of the week. Byers and Sonny showing for the ball when the defence had it is something that wasn’t happening early season hence pass pass pass again then hoof.

Feel the need to bump this to remind the Tangerine Gods of the results we need
