I still think we'll be fine

Have seen enough the last two games that if we can just get a few players back, get Bowler up to speed and get Poveda involved and avoid any more injuries and red cards (!) - genuinely think we will have a better run in than the other sides around us.
It's still possible. Edged closer to safety, but have to improve further and put a run together.

13 games without a win. Fail to win either of the next two and it is a third of a season without a single victory

I admire your faith. But there are a lot of ifs in that, and they're ifs that we've been saying for most of the season.

Let's be honest, our injury situation isn't going to get any better this season. If anything, its getting worse. We can't keep sticking to the mindset that when we get players back we'll be fine. We aren't going to ever get these players back this season.

People need to forget the bottom of the table and focus on being a point closer to safety.

It wasn't great today, but if we can keep more clean sheets and nick some wins it's still doable.

This time last week we were three points off safety. Now it's one.

We looked much better defensively today despite a makeshift pairing, and an aerial bombardment coming in from a team of giants.

I thought we were the team most likely to win, with some very close shaves, and some poor decision making in the area by our forwards. Yates twice chested the ball down in the wrong direction, forcing him to go round the defender, while CJ took far too long to decide what to do, meaning a glorious chance was lost.

I genuinely think we'll stay up, but it won't be pretty. At this stage, I'm not bothered about the style. Seems some want not only to stay up, but also with a certain style. Moon on a stick.

Hope you're right. I definitely agree we were miles better defensively today. I know people will groan but a clean sheet is something to build on because we've seldom achieved them this season.

McCarthy has certainly stopped us being as soft as we were earlier this year. We were challenging for every ball far more proactively and I really enjoyed that aspect of today.
If he can find a way to get our forwards in the game, we'll be alright but that's a big if based on what we've seen so far.

MM's game plan will be severely tested on Wednesday against a side who always seem to dominate possession (58% today away at Sheff. Utd.)
Admittedly, they've been criticised again for not turning said possession into goals or points, but, with more 'Pool injuries in defensive positions, will we manage to have the ball long enough to create anything?
Having said that, it may be a time when hoofing the ball upfield for anyone in tangerine to latch onto might actually work. Plus MM might be more fired up by the likely hostile reception he'll get from Swansea fans.
Then again, I've seen three abject performances in the last seven days and had a couple of whiskies

I'm still going to stick with my original post 11 days on even though things actually look a lot worse.
Last night was both disappointing but also annoying - read the posts on here - we can all see what is wrong.
Maybe, just maybe, there is a bigger plan and last night was never going to be our 3 point game.
I'll keep faith until Saturday in the hope we can repeat what we did last Saturday.
I think we'd all take 6 points from 9 and if there is a side we can beat it is Reading.

There are four poor teams down there and it's whoever steps up to the plate. At the moment I'd say Cardiff will survive.

Have you actually watched us play? Just blind, unfounded optimism.

Have got an appointment at the GP’s surgery lined up?

I wish I had your optimism

Still feel the same?
