Then we'll have a far better chance of doing well next season and being up there.

Only just watched this, but the atmosphere really was good considering the terrible position and likely relegation. I love the north stand, best place to be.

League 1 isn't even bad, a chance to rebuild somewhat. We might even find some signings easier, as in the championship their agents seemed to just alert other championship clubs who could pay far more and we often lost out. We're at least one of the higher paying clubs in the league. Teams like Rotherham have done it and come back stronger, why can't we.

Especially with support like this.

If we get promoted again this time with fans in attendance it'll be huge for the club, as those successful moments like Wembley wins are the best time to grow the fanbase.

We haven't been the best this season, weak defensively, we have also missed some key players, but in defence too. But we gave Millwall a good game and played some decent stuff at times under Dobbie. They are up there as they aren't a bad side, pretty clinical.

Saw this on FB, sometimes interesting to see what other teams fans think.

Let's get behind the team next season. The club should go low price wise and fill that stadium. League 1 or not, if they get it right, choose a good manager, Dobbie or whoever, we can retain the ST numbers of this season or even exceed them.

It's all about creating that buzz.

What's done is done. Watching the video you often see teams going down with a bit of unrest, it was taken very well.

We've got to be smart with recruitment, try and bring in a quality spine, a bit of physicality but stick to playing football like Dobbie likes to do. Improve the defence. Keep the good players we have if possible, if we do sell any reinvest and sprinkle a few good loans and we'll be a good team at the level.

Yeah the atmosphere was great.

I was actually really proud at the end with lots of fans still there clapping them all off.

I'd love to see us promoted and actually be there this time.
Yeah would be hugely beneficial to be promoted with a packed Bloomfield road and Wembley, if its the playoffs.

I agree, but the club need to do something to create a buzz and make it feel like we will bounce back up. Faith has been destroyed in the board, it's been a mess this season - if they can restore it with some intent to go back up, people would start to forget about the relegation, as who would say no to getting to witness a promotion season properly?

Appoint a manager ASAP so it feels like the ball is rolling. Keeping Jerry Yates would be a huge sign of intent IMO, but if we could get a big fee for him that would be reinvested that'd be fair enough.

Yeah a couple of good decisions and the mood will change for the better.

As for Jerry I'd like to keep but if the right offer comes, he's probably gone.

Let's say 3m for eg(to me hes worth more than that... but doubt wed get it), if we can buy 3 quality players with that in the spine of the team...

I don't know how much is left from Critchley and Bowler going, probably not all and some may have been used to offset other losses. Either way, it didn't seem like it was all spent...but hard to tell with all the undisclosed deals. How much was used to get Bowler back for eg, won't have been cheap and cost Olympiacos 2m for the season.... he was there half.

It would be great for us to show that intent and keep Jerry. I wouldn't accept anything less than 4 million for him.

Watching the Blackburn game yesterday and the commentators were banging on about them missing a number 9 so immediately I was thinking they would take an interest in him, along with probably a few other championship teams. I hope the board don't sell at the earliest opportunity, there could even be a bidding war for him which could meet our valuation and beyond.

I'll maintain though, if the offer does not meet our valuation, we should not be selling him.

Keeping him IMO would help us massively get back up to the championship and you just hope we do have available funds to bring in 4 or 5 key signings.

On Josh, I'm hoping we didn't have to spend much to bring him back and Forest were still happy paying most of his wages with him needing game time as they knew he would't feature in their first team this season.

We should really hold out yes, his amount of goals in a struggling side is good.

His work rate too.

All depends if his head is turned.

As for Bowler, whoknows, on one side you might think it benefitted all, as he wasn't doing anything at Olympiacos and could only come back here.

On the other hand did they really care about Bowlers development? They instantly shipped him away to get 2m from Olympiacos for the loan.

If his time was cut short by half, was the money they got from Olympiacos, would they want that making up?

We were pretty desperate to get him back afterall...

May as well post this here. I know why did I bother venturing... Thought I'd have a quick look.

Apparently it's not that we create a good atmosphere, like in the video in my OP, it only feels loud because of a small number of people in a confined space.

Who knows why it's been loud at tons of grounds far bigger than ours.

It was apparently very quiet when we played Millwall 🤣

That's according to Ando, who's tomorrow I believe is going to get his ears syringed, presume he has a stolen flag stuck in there.

Talk about getting carried away. Fine not many automatic promotions but...

A bunch of bottle jobs.... who have the best playoff record ever...Yep that requires no bottle at all to keep winning at Wembley.

Weird point to make. Especially given their playoff bottling history 🤣

He also doesn't want the main derby again...

Thankfully it's all fantasy though on here as we know, all truth on there.

They are understandably loving our plight, but we're back to a tinpot tiny club again apparently...

All the more important for us to stick together and do all we can to bounce back stronger. A promotion with fans in attendance would do wonders for growing the fanbse.

That video made me a bit teary, like you I was surprised, couldn't watch the game with being at work and 8 hours behind time-zone wise.

At the end with the players being applauded and us going through the chant roladex for each one was special after the season we've had.

I always said with our atmosphere I couldn't see us getting relegated, the Appleton/McCarthy combo proved me wrong on that but you are 100% on the vital role the fans can play. Sadly I think it'll be 7000 of us instead of 9-10000 next year but we are top class.

Wasn't always that way either, we often had a pretty lively away core but in the old days it could be a bit of a morgue with our most passionate fans in the south paddock.

Said it previously, compare our atmosphere to Burnleys.and you'd think we'd won the league and they'd been relegated.

Looks like that Libertine bloke wanted to reply to me on here. But couldn't get past the registration stage.... 🙄

I'll tell you what, for someone who hopes we never play them again... by 8am he'd already combed through a rivals forum, found this unrelated thread and replied. A bit sad if you ask me.

But remember, we're obsessed with them because we've had multiple threads before. Let's ignore their thousands of posts on their threads. 🙄

I was there, it was great, just great to see Lee went in the north and captured some of it.

As to the numbers, all depends if the club price it right.

It was interesting seeing player reaction. Rogers has only been with us a few months but seemed genuinely gutted. Still hopeful of signing him

Someone can send a link to the club accounts if you like. I know last season but it'll give you a little more hard info and focus about incoming sums and the overall balance of accounts.

Same regards ticket prices, for those advocating we go cheaper than everyone else.

It’s not a coincidence that the atmosphere at Bloomfield Road is regularly mentioned by pundits and visiting supporters alike
Compare our attendances to Man City and yet Guardiola gets worked up at the number of times you can hear a pin drop at the Etihad.
Apparently, against West Ham, even though City were leading 1 - 0, there was no atmosphere until Guardiola stood up, turned to the crowd and encouraged them to get behind the team. At that point the atmosphere livened up and Guardiola mockingly applauded them.
I cannot understand it at all. City are in prime position to win the league (again) and qualify for the Champions League (again) They have a full squad of international players, one of whom who is setting records on a daily basis.
They are still in 3 competitions and without a doubt are exciting to watch.
Do supporters simply get complacent because of the successes City have had?
It wasn’t that long ago that they were the underdogs of Manchester and were so for a considerable length of time.
As followers of “little” Blackpool we should be proud of our vociferous support and it will definitely be a boost for our team next season.

City is now a shiny version of Man United. Their fan base wittered down to glory hunters and prawn sarnie boys.

They used to be the local team. Total passion. I loved my time at Uni when we got free tickets for Main Eoad for the season due to being in the footy team (it was linked somewhere to City academy). Pint in the park side then a cracking atmosphere watching a shit team

That Ando knob is still scarred from 1970 😂

Old cloth ears.

The other guy now thinks I'm We8PNE ... a bloke who seems to type a lot of one lined posts... and barely takes them to task over anything.

Not exactly fitting with a lot of my posts...

I saw the accounts thanks.

That doesn't mean we can't price it to fill the stadium and grow the fanbase.

If they get it right revenue can be quite similar.

Once again.

Our tickets should fit comfortably within the League 1 range. No cheaper, no more expensive.

We have always had a fickle crowd, history shows that.

Winning on the pitch will be the driver, not cheaper tickets.

Cheaper season tickets and matchday tickets will be a deciding factor along with the managerial appointment and early recruitment of new players and the retained list.

But no cheaper than the norm right?

Or are you suggesting we should be the cheapo club of the division with a reduced player budget to match?

Hence why I used Barnsley as an example for match tickets at 22, 23 quid in another thread.

The ST price depends on the strategy and our clubs needs.

Also, you don't have to follow exactly what others do, we have our own unique circumstances and a lot of rebuilding to do.

There's been many good ideas put on here to grow the fanbase, better pricing, tiered ST that include extras etc.

The club haven’t got it right so far on pricing. Nows the perfect time.

I'd rather retain most the ST holders we do have with a lower price.

People keep saying we won't sell this much etc but we've never tried a lower price and generated a buzz properly.

The difference in revenue is relatively minimal compared to what the benefits of having a fuller stadium on our success and also the long term goal of growing the fanbase.
