I think we gave the ball away cheaply at times last night. Unforced errors making simple passes. I understand in the final third that the pass doesn't always come off, and nothing ventured nothing gained, but not good in your own half when not under much pressure.
I like them both but Robson and Turton were the worst culprits.
Just nitpicking but something that could be improved on.

I agree, although I'm certainly not complaining, we should have kept the ball better, especially when we were 2-1 up. We kept giving them the ball back, they were bound to score eventually.

But thats the exciting thing for me, the run of form we're on, beating decent teams at the top end of the table and imo we've got another couple of gears. We're nowhere near the finished article, when we are in the new year I can see us absolutely hammering a few teams 👍

Lots of things to be improved on even if you play for Liverpool, just nice to have a well played every now and then though.

Actually I thought Dougall misplaced a few.
Pass success rate was 70%
Against Oxford it was 63%,
Cods 62%
Pompey 76%
Donny 71%

I thought Robson gave the ball away in dangerous areas a few times, whats his stats? not that I am knocking him, only young very good prospect will only get better.

Agree and it's not nit-picking either, it's just stating something we can improve on.
The one that annoyed me most last night was we were breaking down the right and Virtue played about a ten yard ball. He tried to play it into Madines feet but hit it wide of him. It's a big flaw in Virtues game. Said it before his brain gets ahead of his feet, he's thinking what he's gonna do next so doesn't get the basics right.

The fact is we’re improving and will continue to do so. There’s only a few players who were here last year and the management team is relatively new given the long period of lockdown, so they’re all getting used to each other. It’s not perfect, there will be setbacks, but the trajectory is right and I firmly believe we’ll be in the top six at the end of the season.

Any player that gets as involved as Dougall is bound to make a few misplaced passes.
Maybe they should at the quantity he got right, rather than the percentage he got wrong.

Not sure which site gives those individual stats.
I'm interested though if someone can tell me where to look.

We have been more dominant in recent games than we were Tuesday but you have to take into account the quality of the opposition. Hull aren't top of the league by accident, they are one of the best teams we will face this season.

....if not the best. 👍

Maybe Virtue is a tad rusty. Let's give him a few games.

In his post match interview Critchley said he felt we wasted the ball at times. So yes the OP is correct. We wasted the ball a number of times in the 2nd half which is indeed something to work upon.
