I've had several posts removed today, non of which broke the site rules

I personally think the mods only respond to someone hitting the 'report' button. They couldn't 'police' this site any other way.
I've only hit the 'report' button a couple of times and that was due to a personal, verbal, attack on another poster, which contained vile & disgusting language.
NB: I didn't read Phils post, so I don't know what it said, but it obviously caused upset / disgust etc

You might feel that it was unnecessary but do you think that it was within the rules or not ?

That's childish and you know it. It's not a matter of tell tale tits. The posts are there for all to see. It's not asking a lot for people to tone it down. And btw, I've had the mods ask me to do that before now.

No it’s not, it’s childish to keep moaning to the mods because 2 posters are going at it with a difference of opinion. The board is for everyone not just the cry babies is it not. Clearly not.
 
The post by Phil did have a point in this day and age I'm afraid.
Was it the right thing to post on a harmless thread about it probably not.

If you read the rules there is no line to cross, so the mods are making it up as they go along.

Pointing out that someone is asking the government to go against MHRA/JCVI advice and kill 5,000 - 10,000 people in the process is ban-worthy apparently.

I'm not talking about the current "Philgate" but the mods always make things up as they go along and police things based on the poster and not the post.

In the past posters have been allowed to make frivolous accusations of racism against me and the posts have been allowed to stay up despite the accusers being unable to provide any evidence of any racist posts made by me when they have asked politely to provide such evidence.

I don't know anything about the example you have provided above but whoever made that post would be banned because the mod(s) didn't like the poster or didn't agree with the content of the post and not because any rules had been broken.

No view on the rights and wrongs of your posts being removed. But why ask them to delete your account ?

You can do that yourself !

If anyone actually wants to be a mod just drop the admin a line, it's not a closed shop, you can all find out how easy it is then...
