If you were England manager….

What would your starting 11 be and what formation - although I appreciate formations are fluid?

well don't think there's any chance Southgate goes with that. But he might go with this which is my choice.

Picford
Walker,Stones,Maguire,Shaw
Rice,TAA, Bellingham
Saka,Kane,Foden
The encouraging thing is in a 433 the 33 basically picks itself. I hope he starts with them in the friendlies.

Henderson will be in there.

That front six is imo the best in the world right now, and I've never thought that about England before, even during the supposed 'golden generation'. At the absolute worst it's top three, but I think with the form of Foden, Bellingham and Kane it has to be considered the best.
England's problems are in defence, which I'm far less convinced about, and if we don't win any tournaments in the next few years it'll likely be because of defensive frailties I think.

Same as 20s for me but Bellingham doesn't have a position, just let him do what he wants and Rice can protect.

yep, Rice to protect the back four and allow the other two to impose themselves on the game. Bellingham is great at running at a defence and TAA has shown he is well capable of playing those killer passes to open up teams for the front 3.

Depends who we're playing. Watkins would get in Kane's way I think, he's a replacement off the bench, not a strike partner or provider, I'd opt for the more versatile Rashford.
I wouldn't give Rashford a game for Squires Gate pal, he's absolutely garbage.

That screamer v City doesn't make up for all those atrocious performances for United these past 12 months.

Seasideone, I'd also pick that side assuming they're all on decent form.
