Incoming….

Critch likes to tinker with the 11, so could do with 2 right backs
Yeah need competition.

If we get 2 RB does that mean Connolly is back to a CB where he is apparently best.

Tell you what in the open training session during the crossing and finishing bit Connolly was putting a lot away and so did Sarkic, plus a face i didn't recognise which may have been that new midfielder.

Apparently for 600k, which is exactly what was reported as Forest's asking price a few months ago, I am ok with that, but that's a sizeable fee and makes me wonder if that will prevent us from making any other signings tomorrow 🤔

Having both Sterling and Gabriel will be massive for us as our weakest position now becomes our best position, I assume Sterling will start, but having Gabriel for the long term future will be fantastic and Gabriel will certainly grow.

600k seems a lot for him. Even in this day and age. But Critch has seen him close up, so he must see the potential.

£600k is a big fee for us, but what we need to remember is that these are calculated investments that will return bigger fees in the future more often than not. That's why we have to take our time with them and put some serious thought in to how best to spend the limited transfer pot we have. The idea is that the pot will grow over time due to incoming transfer fees - see Brentford as the model we're following.
I think £600k for Jordan Gabriel is a great bit of business tbh - he's a very good player and if we do finalise it, it'll probably be a four year contract. One good season in the championship and he'll be worth ten times that amount.
Forest letting him go strikes me as yet another big club wanting to buy players to give them instant results rather than having confidence in their coaches and manager to make them better players who can match their ambitions.

600k is a big fee for us, but it's not much for this level, especially for a position you're desperate to cover.

Gone are the days of anyone they can get and the club has clearly been holding out for the right players, even if it was in January.

Agreed, clearly he's already shown he's a good fit, and looked like he could make the step up. Money well spent.

Hoping for more tomorrow, plus a couple of prem loans after the window shuts.
Prem loans after the window shuts? How does that work?
