Interesting article

I went to France without a passport about 15 years ago, wasn't a problem, I'm guessing Brexit wouldn't allow that now.
Seems odd to blame France for this, they didn’t want Brexit, a relatively small number of people in the UK that voted for it did. So we should probably blame Brexit voters for these sort of issues if we have to blame anyone because apportioning blame won't change anything or make it better, it's too late, people just need to accept the inconvenience.

They didn’t want Brexit ? How many exactly do you know ?

Are you saying that many French people did want the UK out of the EU?
I do know a few French people none of them wanted the UK to do it but that's four people, not very representative so hardly worth mentioning.
And if the French government wanted us to do Brexit then shouldn't we have done the opposite as according to popular wisdom the French are always out to do us over!!

Merely pointing out the incorrect statement you made. You implied France didn’t want Brexit, I just asked you how many, you said the few you know, so no numbers. Just a guess.

But France hasn't had a referendum asking its people if the UK should leave the EU, so none of us have a clue what the outcome would be including you.
Whereas we did have a referendum on it and 52% that were eligible and could be bothered to vote wanted it.
Therefore brexit problems have to be attributed to brexit voters if blame has to be handed out.

Thanks for proving my point.

Numerous links ,You could find out yourself rather than simply blaming the French , half a dozen more border staff turning up earlier wouldn't do it.
But here is a link to Simon Calder:

Travel journalist for the Independent and BBC, two organizations who'd blame the weather on Brexit if they thought they could get away with it.

The substance of his claim is that it's the fact that the passports need to be stamped that is causing the chaos, tell me, how long do you think it takes to stamp a passport, I'm told the Spanish can do it in five seconds?

Do you disagree with the claim that only 4/10 booths were open? Do you deny the claim that only 6/15 French border police arrived and that was why only four booths were open?

You mean 51.9% (17.5m) a clear majority. 😉
Yeah, a clear majority, I'm guessing they all got what they wanted and are happy with things so no point in pointing fingers and blaming other EU countries, we opted to have less influence in Europe so we just have to accept the consequences and stop moaning.
Funny that those of us who didn't want Brexit were called remoaners yet the Daily Mail now comes across as one big moan about all things European!

Moan moan moan moan moan moan, is this incessant moaning gonna go on for ever. Sad.

Ridiculous Im not here to be interrogated. So your evidence comes from Tory politicians, Telegraph, Mail, who have no evidence other than Brexit denial and a prejudice about the French. Weve lost control anyway through voting to free movement and passing it over to 6 french immigration officers turning up an hour late.
You wont like this one either !

Let's make it simple:
  • were there 4/10 booths open;
  • did the French border police supply 6/15 of the expected staff?

It really is painful watching the contortions you have to make, just so that you don't have to say what the real cause is.

So my question is, Is this what taking back control looks like?

What's painful is the lengths you're going to avoid the simple fact, the chaos at Dover was caused by the French border police supplying only 40% of the required staff.

If 6 French border guards being an hour and a quarter late for work grinds Dover to a halt for 3 days then I think we have some underlying problems.

I think the hour and a half late claim is disputed.

The six guards who did turn up were on time, it is unexplained why the other 9 were not with them, I think it's disputed that further guards did turn up later.
