Interview with Simon Sadler after the 6pm news on Radio Lancs tonight (Tuesday).

I don't think he comes over that well but it will be interesting to hear the full interview.
I still question his managerial appointments and whether there has been sufficient on field investment. All a matter of opinions but after 5 years under his ownership the club is back where it was in league 1.
He's only said a few sentences and has reiterated what he's said before.

The managerial appointments I think most would admit haven't been very inspiring, did he choose them all though? I'm sure it was mentioned that Badlan suggested McCarthy.

It's back in league 1 but that's about the only similarity, teams can go up and down, there's quite a lot of things far better and others further down the track.

As I said all a matter of opinion.
Some of his off field appointments e.g. Mansford and Badlan didn't really work out either.

He is who he is though, not sure how he's meant to come across.

We did get promoted under Mansford, he seemed to do good things in the community etc too. Badlan had all the credentials, everyone thought it was good at the time and you can't predict if someone does what he did.

Hopefully it's a good team there now, seems so.

We must hope so and that we progress rather than regress. How we finish the season is all important.

He looks well and for the most part was forthright. A liar blinks more than the norm and he was just fine. Watch the point where he does break eye contact. Interviewer was doing a good job. Cameraman should have composed his shot better. Background not good enough. Light reflecting in Sadler’s glasses should have used a ring light or lit more to the side, and mic cord should have been in Sadler’s sweater. Sloppy ass work and the pr person charged with looking after Sadler and club should have gotten that fixed before the interview started.
** hell, Martin Scorsese over here...

@Insider .......
I'm going to say the zip up is a Brunello Cucinelli as it looks like one of their zips and the wide shoulder seam is their signature designs.
The brand is massive in Asia.
t
At least he's not wearing a fluorescent Stone Island jumper from Fleetwood market or a Slazenger polo top....Just a bit of class from Simon
Perhaps he could get a few for the Club shop? How do you think it would look underneath one of Neil's gilets? 😂

You've made loads, usually after a poor spell, saying he probably wants to sell or should, underestimated having the club and didn't consider the costs, doesnt have the fight, is an energy vampire etc etc. You had a feeling he wouldn't be right from the off.

Plus telling him to F off. Here's just one...

That's just opinions and I haven't changed my mind with the comments above, the fuck off comment was the McCarthy time, I wanted everyone to fuck off then, it was terrible!

Having to answer bullshit that people write on the internet shouldn’t come with the territory. He gave exactly the same answer he’s given in another interview so we gained no further information. It was a poor question and a waste of everyone’s time.
"There's always been a school of thought Simon from quite early in your ownership that Simon Sadler doesnt want to be here anymore ."

I dont remember this . There were some rumours swirling around last year but Simon put them to bed .

I dont know where Andy Bayes got that from. As Sven stated it was a daft question which is unlike Andy tbf.

Be honest Hertford.....you and Chesney Hawks have had a hard on for Sadler in nearly every post you make.

You see I love it when soggy wet arse dipsticks like you post about other people because you don't actually think before you make ridiculous comments like the ones you have just written.

If you read the majority of my posts they are mainly about the football, the games, the squad games now and going back. In amongst those posts there are a few that ask questions of Sadler and Critchley, something that seems to be absolutely taboo for a small number of posters on here.

Now if you were talking about Paulco I could understand it, but I just love the football.... and if anyone can stand the boredom of looking at your past posts they never actually talk about the football matches, the team, the manager, the games in the past, spookily your posts are either bollocks about nothing about football or trying your best to find anyone who dares to criticise the club, and that differ to your opinions. The thing is we don't know what you think of the football or the rest because you don't include that. It is very weird and you are not alone, I guess the football isn't worth talking about for you because you wouldn't care if we lost every game of the season, just so long as no one comments in a negative way about it.

I think we all need to listen to the whole interview as it may fit into context better then.

Sorry you lost me before I got to soggy wet arse.

And I do stand by my post,
Now; if I even gave you one second of thought, ever, I might waste my life going back over your posts to have a pop back….but you’re not worth it...you’re a ** Vampire, sucking the life out of supporting Blackpool.

I would pop you in my ignore list but I don’t even bother to read your posts, because they are all the same..sad, bitter and having a pop at Sadler in a backhanded way.

Please don’t take this personally….but AVFTT has always been a microcosm of different perspectives and personalities…some funny, some serious….you just come across as a bit of a **.

So if you never read my posts how do you know? You aren’t interested in the football, just looking to see who dares to say anything you don’t agree with. Another mushroom, we’ve got an important game tomorrow night but you won’t know that. You’ll be too busy sneaking around trying to find someone who’s criticised the club for anything.

It’s a strange one that - I guess what he’s trying to say is he only cares about the football club, rather than himself. Yet, it doesn’t fill me with confidence when he’s already flirting with the idea of someone better coming along (spoiler alert Simon: they won’t). All he needed to say is that he’s committed to the club and has absolutely no intention whatsoever of selling it in the future
He did say that at a diolouge meeting March 23.Had a ten year plan, pumping millions into the club,so why would he sell.Sounds like a dog is not just for Christmas.

I disliked every single thing about the O's, but on the whole I like pretty much everything about SS. I think our playing budget appears to be upper end L1 and above most clubs our size. Care is taken in areas where in the past it was not. Looking after contracts for players proactively, quality loan rather than total novices or cast offs, signing players that other clubs around us want, like Pennington and Joseph, rather than forcing managers to polish the proverbial...

Does he get everything right? Nope. Do I believe he cares and is trying to? Yep. And that'll do for me.

Yep, nicely articulated. It's so obvious that it shouldn't need saying, but unfortunately it does.

The vast majority of Blackpool fans feel the same I suspect . Well said .

It’s impossible to get everything right unless you are a clairvoyant .

Take McCarthy for instance a lot of fans thought it was the right decision and a lot didnt .

On paper the man had a track record of keeping teams in the division from relegation positions .

No one really knew but you have to roll the dice .
