Former Blackpool Star Linked With European Giants In £30 Million Switch

Former Blackpool loanee Charlie Patino has garnered interest from Italian trio Internazionale, Juventus and Milan, according to reports.

Patino is currently plying his trade on loan at Swansea City in the Championship and has made 11 appearances this season for the Swans who are slowly climbing back up the table under the guidance of Michael Duff.

Not even close, possibly has potential to be a £30M player but at this point I'd say closer to £5M at the most.

He's far better suited to Italian football with his reliance on technical ability and not physical strength.

You also think NC is a football genius.

Im starting to think you have a tendency to needlessly

A tendency to be contrary on every subject. It gives him reason thereafter to write rafts and rafts of lengthy posts for people not to read.

I think I’ll get me boots out again if that’s his real valuation - he flatters to deceive - cone on what the hell has he ever done or won

I saw Smith-Rowe play against Blackpool in the FA Youth Cup several years back and he was absolutely amazing (and I say that lightly)

Myself and mate thought he was the ‘new Gascogne’ and better

Good luck Mr Patino - if you are as good as this then should really be starting every Sat in the Prem League

Bags of skill, undoubtedly, & a great football brain, but currently lacks the physicality required to survive & prosper in the big leagues.

Just an example of current football economics.

When I was younger the top clubs could afford to speculate a few quid on a potential talent, and all that's changed is the gamble amount, to this point.

Assuming, if it happens, that's what the eventual figure is. Just as likely as the paper's added on a chunk for dramatic effect.

But agree with the above, the Italian game might well suit Charlie.

Not a chance.

You only have to watch a slow top flight midfielder to say no, he’s not worth £30m. He’s a lovely lad with loads of talent, but he’s slower than the slowest in terms of top flight midfielders. If he wasn’t, he’d be knocking on the door at Arsenal. That said, he’d be more suited to the pace of the game in Italy and more so Spain.

His agent is hard at work here.

I cannot believe some of the stuff on this thread… Physically he’s a late developer, which is the only reason he’s not already playing at the highest level
I’d say. Technically and in terms of his vision, speed of thought to action and all round ability he’s already a cut above.

Barring injury, he’ll almost certainly play for a top flight club and probably England. He really is that good imo.

Compare the impact he has had on loan to
Kienan Hall or Longstaff, and although they played at a lower level for us you could see they were destined for better things.Patino was good but I never felt he would be a special talent

He’s ten times the player of the two you mention. They’re not even in the same ballpark…
Maybe take a look at how he’s playing now for Swansea…
