Is this the worst trip ?

Why did you accept we were shit?

Did you back Fat Sam with the biggest budget in the league?
Came 3rd compared to our miserable 8th or 7th.

Also had some great players you could relate to like Morrison, Mellon and Ellis. Plus it was the first time we had made any sort of challenge getting out of Division 3 (League One). There was none of this shitty 3-5-2 either.

The other times you accepted we were shit as we didn't have a pot to piss in. This season we have come down from the Championship so expectations are naturally going to be high.

I know people will mock this but for whatever reason known to man, I've never been as frustrated as a Blackpool fan in over 35 years. Maybe a midlife crisis and Critchley is getting the brunt of it but the whole thing makes me angry. It's got to the point where it's actually in my own interest to be a firestick fanny.

I mean what the hell are we doing first pumping today after pretty much missing out of the play offs. To me, it looks like we are celebrating failure.
Feel exactly the same

I think 'came 3rd' is gilding it just a little!

Of the teams chasing we have the worst goal difference, Oxford have put 12 or fifteen goals on the goal difference stats, we are playing to get 1 nils against teams at the bottom of the table.

Maybe not the worst, but can I be the first to say this is the most disappointing trip I've ever been on. All those daft points we've squandered this season, we could be pretty much safely in the playoffs already.

I did get one highlight today though,. Waiting for my connection back to Liverpool I was treated to the mass arrival of the Nobber racegoing fraternity fresh from Aintree. Blimey, Peaky Blinders it was not. I've witnessed a few scouse weddings in my time but I've never seen such a scruffy bunch of lardarses squeezed into dodgy suits, twatlids, fascinators and budget nylon creations. Scary 😬

Yes we won but that was turgid
Reminded me of the way we often played in the early 80s in the old Division 4
Bar Dembele’s goal that was an incredibly poor performance against woeful opposition
Why we continue to persevere with a flawed system that does our players no favours whatsoever is beyond me
Trust the process ?
You are having a laugh
And that’s why I went to Burnley mate to watch some passion and decent football. Burnley FFS what has happened to me! Proper footy day though.

Incredibly harsh - we absolutely battered them in that first half - got in behind them time after time. I think you have a very short memory if you think that was awful. Strange time to post that when we actually played ok.

We didn’t play ok though - we weren’t playing a decent team
They are awful and as the game went on it was hard to tell who was the relegated team

Who doesn’t want to see us 1-0 up away trying to get in a play-off spot when goal difference could decide it, at a team who are already relegated who are completely dogshit, bring on Matty Virtue for a striker to shore things up.

We won, we couldn’t not win but it ain’t half shite to watch.

Anyone saying it isn’t is on glue 💯

Looking back I enjoyed those days.
We were shit but we backed a team who’d looked for a win and often got beat trying.
I remember Bury annihilating us at home and walked out after the fourth, the only time, putting that to one side we were totally together fans and club.
It’s not just us it’s happening with a lot of clubs, it’s lost its roots.
Our fan base is relatively new from the Prem year and they are still thinking we are a big club, we’re not.
Just wish Billy Ayre was around.

I’ve no axe to grind whatsoever
I support Blackpool FC not its owner
In any event the issue is his not mine
What I do know is I’m not a disgrace to the club
If he thinks that frankly I’m not bothered but we certainly aren’t mates - which is the point made above by Mex

He really hates being criticised doesn’t he. I know I’ve got under his skin too as have other supporters. He’d rather feel hard done by and petty than actually take on board what a lot of supporters are saying and his love in with Critchley is worrying and a weapon to use against horrid supporters like you Tim. He’s a bit of a football numpty.

Why can’t we all just get along?

Sighs.

I think I've watched pretty much every one. I'm not saying I agree with everything that everyone has ever said on there, but I do know that any criticism has been constructive and has come from passionate fans wanting what's best for the club.

Ss is far too think skinned. He needs to listen a bit more rather than choose to be offended and take things personally.

My view as well Briggs
Football is all about opinions
This was the end of last season BTW under McCarthy
Hard to be positive at the time
As an aside I was positive enough to think we’d go straight back up this year 🤣

That Virtue sub at about 70 minutes was baffling for so many reasons. Keeping Beesley on who’d offered literally nothing to the game. And seemingly setting up shop and reverting to a 5-4-1 formation against a side who created absolutely nothing against us, ironically, until we made that stupid change.

Critch’s game management is so so bad. I don’t think the first half performance today was bad at all and on another day it could have been 2 or 3 at half time. But his inability to affect games in-play inevitably invites pressure. Any other of the top sides in the league win that game much more than 1 today.

I was Edgeley today, County fans kept singing about going to Blackpool.
They might have taken our head physio but they'll never take our pride

"We talk about not waiting to arrive in the Championship to start behaving like a Championship club"

Them and Wrexham will be a threat next year. Two clubs on a clear mission.

The County owner apparently said "Championship in 5 years" two years ago. They were workmanlike today, but dull and lacking creativity.

They certainly look like they will
Momentum will play a part as it did with us in 2021/22
We it turn feel to me like we are going backwards
Hopefully we’ll have a reset close season

Sounded like the overall aim was seven years from when he took over according to their COO on TalkSport earlier. And their owner is a fan who knows the business side of football as well and what fans need from it. Tried to consistently make appointments better than their level at the time or who they replace. Easier from a low start point but you can see the intention is there. Dogfood Dave must still be kicking himself about Dave Challinor but that's football.

A lot of teams struggle near the finish line so I would imagine their aim was just to win today. It's their work in the season, the shit weather nights away from home where they got the job done, that's what counts in the end.

Completely agree with the OP. We won yeah but Carlisle were so open. I can’t remember a side asking for it as much as them. They were diabolical and instead of taking advantage in first half we slowed play down in numerous occasions. After about 25/30 when it was obvious we wouldn’t score again I was again obvious that we would revert to classic Critch ball and hold on to a 1-0 lead.

They will bring a fair few I’m sure.
Great to see Wrexham and Stockport back. Must be 20 years since I’ve been to them grounds and should be good away days next season.
Half of the East stand tops.

The club will make sure the atmosphere is pish.

Barnsley only team we have HALF a chance of catching.

If they lose away at Pompey and we beat them on Saturday they play Northampton…oh who am I trying to kid
Northampton just lost to a non league outfit in Fleetwood, so I wouldn't be pinning much hopes on them.

According to SS...why?
See above
Alleged negativity on the Podcast
It was also suggested that in show I should have called out others re their comments rather than ‘ smirk ‘
As an aside these comments were made after I had posted on here sticking up for Ben Mansford who was taking what I felt to be wholly unwarranted criticism - SS thinking I was being somewhat duplicitous
There we differ

Agree they seem to have got their mojo back just at the right time.
That was an astonishing result today against a side who many on here said were the best side they’ve seen at Bloomfield road this season.
It’s Oxfords to lose now but they won’t.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was a tactical loss by Peterborough to avoid the playoff Kings...

OK, but with this side not too sure they'd be that scared, but maybe the record alone does that 😏
