Is this the worst Utd team since the 70's ?

Don't get me wrong they have quality players, but they are dull to watch and seem so workmanlike in everything they do. Maybe it's just that the Fergie teams were just so good, and this lot are bang average, with an average manager.

Every year they're supposedly just 2 or 3 top class signings away from being back to where they used to be under Ferguson despite spending hundreds of millions anyway......

Sublime to the ridiculous this United team. Play them on a good day and they could take you apart, play them on abad day and it can be a comfortable three points. Some incredibly talented players at OGS disposal but perhaps too many of thems best position is the same. Fernandes, Pogba and DVB for example.

Isn't that what they used to be like before the Premier League started too?

I'm a little too young to remember anything pre 86/87 or so, but they always had very good players and threw money about but were never consistent.

Yes they were and back then there were some very good teams about. Liverpool and Arsenal were top top teams.

I think its fantastic that they keep getting the odd result to ensure Solskjaar stays in charge a bit longer...they really are comedy gold at times and Paul Pogba could be on the comedy channel on his own. The most entertaining Utd team for decades...hilarious.

Yet the ex pros said the other night it was the best Utd performance they’d seen in many a year😯
now do I trust their judgement or Avftt’s😁

Not watched any prem this season so can’t really comment on their style of play. The fact that somebody said Fred was in the starting line up would be enough for me to turn off anyway.

No interest I just had to look up the score so probably yes.
I used to love watching United on the TV - the days of Fergie, Wenger, Mourinho etc alongside the battles between the Nevilles, Scholes, Lampard, Terry etc were great TV. I cancelled my Sky Sports and sometimes can't even be bothered watching MOTD - all feels very magnolia!

Difficult to judge this season. 1 point at home would suggest there's a problem but it's all a bit false in the current climate.

VdB similar price to Jota, but OGS doesn't seem to fancy him. I think one of the biggest mistakes has been pandering to Pogba. Rather than flogging him.

Yup absolutely where they went nearly 25 years without winning a proper title, indeed the last pre PL championship win for them was 1968.
Used to pop into the Golden Eagle in the early 80s post match and there were always some mouthy Scummers in there telling us how it was all over by Christmas, but invariably they weren't around when Liverpool,Everton and even Aston Villa picked the trophy up in April 😄
