If we play Dembele as a 10 then Carey is cover, if he plays out wide then CJ can cover.

Different players obviously but we've still got cover for the positions he plays in.

I dunno about that. Carey is not functioning well as a 10, for one thing. I want us to be the best we can be with what we have, and for me that involves RA as things stand.

I’ll admit you’ve perhaps changed my tone…

This way we can have it both ways, Apter develops for as long as we don’t need him, but if we do he comes straight into where Dembele is (although I’m not sure Critch would do that it’s a nice hypothetical though.)

I think Carey's best position is in an advanced role off the striker. I don't believe I've seen Rob Apter play live so I couldn't possibly comment on his ability :)

We would be a far weaker team without Dembele in it so I get your point.

What's best for the player's long term development? Being a bit part player here or the main man in L2?

1. You could apply that to a number of players.
2. You are assuming he would be bit part.
3. The main aim of of the club is to get promoted.

That's how I see it, i appreciate others see it differently. I think RA is better than some people seem to think he is. That's the crux of it, but he's making a huge impact on games in L2 on a regular basis. We don't know what would happen if he stepped out for us at the moment, but I see a very talented two footed player full of confidence and going at teams fearlessly.

Pretty much everyone is fit, worrying that we are one Dembele injury away from losing our creative outlet, but I think if that happened Apter would be recalled immediately.

Are we stronger than when we started this window? I think so, but time will tell.

Coulson adds needed balance, Byers should be an experienced head who is motivated.

The squad is getting healthy at the right time too.

You can’t recall a player outside of the window nowadays
 
May be another club wants one of ours and we are looking to replace that player who could be out of contract
at the end of the season !
 
The new Gazette guy Amos, had just said he's asked the club if we're done and is waiting for a reply. So we could find out soon one way or the other.

Byers > Dougall
Finnigan > Weir
Sassi > Tharme

Dale is the add one out, in terms of no obvious replacement. Apter will be his replacement next season. I can see both sides of the argument on whether Apter should have been loaned out or not.
