Well we’re not gonna pay for that are we let’s be serious because your looking at 2 1.5 million +.The thread is now open.
Lets hope its a good one.
Top targets for me are a goalkeeper and right footed, fast, goal scoring winger (that can defend a bit as well).
Does the Rag and Bone man still come around?Well we’re not gonna pay for that are we let’s be serious because your looking at 2 1.5 million +.
Oh for another Dembele, Rogers, Dewsbury-Hall, Longstaffe, Dobbie, Sims, Ballard! How many loans have we got left? Two is it. They will need to be good!
No. You can recruit those for much less than that. If you know what you’re doing.Well we’re not gonna pay for that are we let’s be serious because your looking at 2 1.5 million +.
A lot of outs and a lot of ins - the quality though might not be top notch.Realistically cannot see very much happening in January it’s a very difficult and expensive window. Maybe 1 or 2 max (freebies or loans). Then at the end of the season a ruthless big cull is required, I would only look to retain a handful of this squad and look to rebuild. Then we can start to judge what SB is made of, this season is all about a reality check.
Do not think Marv is doing well up northOh for another Dembele, Rogers, Dewsbury-Hall, Longstaffe, Dobbie, Sims, Ballard!
And come back Marv we need you!![]()
Who would you trust to shoot Fletcher? Beesley would trip up over the gun and CJ would probably end up shooting Joseph.Swap Dom Thompson for a gun, then shoot Fletcher!
That’s a shame, thought he defended well for us and would have stopped some of the silly goals we’ve conceded latelyDo not think Marv is doing well up north
In fairness he was a better option than Ballard & kJ playing alongside Rhodes second half v brum, did ok but yes if we get a decent striker in January I’m quite happy with him being shotSwap Dom Thompson for a gun, then shoot Fletcher!
Has anyone mentioned getting Marv back yetDo not think Marv is doing well up north
I heard it was Wan Ting Anywun-GoodHeard from a good aource that our first signing of the window will be Foo-King Noone. Sadler is keen.
Well, he knows the Chinese market wellHeard from a good aource that our first signing of the window will be Foo-King Noone. Sadler is keen.
Foo-king noone. Told ye.According to the Gazette, Steve Bruce has not yet discussed any incomings during the January window. With a fully fit quad he is happy with what he has got, plus cover on the wings!
Where's that story, couldn't find it whilst looking through they aids of a website.According to the Gazette, Steve Bruce has not yet discussed any incomings during the January window. With a fully fit quad he is happy with what he has got, plus cover on the wings!
That's the bare minimum Kirt.A first/second choice to Tyrer.
Winger who can play both sides.
A right back.
A centre mid who has a good engine and can get around the park.
We aren't climbing out of L1 this season. That's the bare minimum Kirt.
If we aspire to climb out of L1, we need a complete rebuild.
If due to costs & a lack of incoming finance, our club don't have that aspiration, then we need enough players to play SB's way and consolidate in L1.
I agree we won't climb out of L1 this season Kirt.We aren't climbing out of L1 this season.
We have real core issues at this club and a lack of direction being provided by the owner and his senior leadership team.
I could write a big long post about it but that'll detract the thread.
The hope is that any new owner, if a deal is close, would fund the window. Belokon did this before actually signed a deal. I think he became a partner in the February after a bouncing January window. As I said earlier in the thread - I reckon lots of ins and outs but… there won’t be any significant investment. He’ll want frees and loans to be able to break even. He wants to sell up quickly so he won’t be spending money in January. Avoiding the drop will do fine for SS
Marv wouldn't of left the opposition strikers the freedom of the six yard box without being challenged like his replacements do.That’s a shame, thought he defended well for us and would have stopped some of the silly goals we’ve conceded lately
Not funny…see todays news.Swap Dom Thompson for a gun, then shoot Fletcher!
