Jerry Gone Officially

Just watched the post, his voice was wavering in places, I think that sums up his thoughts for Blackpool FC and the fans !

Thank you Jerry for the goals, the celebrations and the memories !

Good Luck at Swansea !

Sad day but he deserves the opportunity. It’s a short career. He is one of those players that would get an ovation even if he was playing for the opposition. Loved his hashie on the post. 👌

Great player and character for us, will be missed, will always remember the memories, but we move on, such is life. 👍

Good business from the club really, signed for very little, had him for those years and then get a decent wedge for him and a player to go again.

Good luck Jerry.
If it was just a success of the model we'd all be rejoicing and church bells ringing, but Jerry was a bit more than that.

One more season and he'd have been like a stick of rock- cut the top of his head off and you'd fird Blackpool FC through and through.

Actually that's how I describe myself when asked.

Yeah, but it's all part of the model, another will step up to be a fan favourite.

He wears his heart on his sleeve. Top lad, wish him all the best

Not often you get SS speaking about departing players.

Owner Simon Sadler said:

"Jerry has been a fantastic player for us since he joined us back in 2020.

"His contribution on the pitch over the past three years has been exceptional, with his hard work and entertaining style epitomising what a Blackpool player should be.

“I’d like to personally thank Jerry for all of his efforts and wish him the very best for the future.”

I like that SS recognises the sort of player that he and we think epitomises what a Blackpool player is. Not that we shouldn't already know, but in attitude, character, work rate and ability, if we can sign these sorts of players that fit us, we'll do well.

He's right, I think Jerry epitomised what a Blackpool player should be.

Who d'you reckon?
Hard to say until we've seen them live, Norburn looks like he'll take no nonsense and as such people will warm to that.

People love a goalscorer also.

We've gone for a bit more of an experienced route and strong/ big characters, they are usually fan favourites.

Yes agreed. We need a talisman though. A magician. A wizard. A jester. A swordsman. A knight in shining armour. A matador. A front man.

We've lost Jerry, Josh and Keshi. They were all big characters that oozed talent, and took the game to the opposition with flair and derring do. Not sure we have anyone like that now..... 🤔

Let's just say Joseph is the younger Jerry.

We could do with a bigger striker, unless they are banking on Beesley for that...he's decent at headers but not as much a hold up guy.

Albie Morgan in some ways may be able to do some of what Keshi did, or be creative in midfield.

We have Dale back, but is he the answer... CJ got far superior stats than Dale in league 1, but he may be improved back with us.

We could do with some more creativity on the wings.

Maybe loans will bring the prem youngsters for that.

That Kouassi looks interesting as a striker, looks a unit and like he could bulldoze through some defences.

No surprised here. He was going once we went down. Good luck to him. One day he will be back. Bit surprised he gone to Swansea.

Overall he's been a decent player for us & I certainly liked him. Sad to lose him, but we move on. Hopefully we will unearth another gem & all will be rosy, perhaps we already have who knows. Just remember footballers are only borrowed.

A sad but inevitable part of supporting a club such as ours.

One of the few players i'll look out for and hope to see on the scoresheet against anyone but us.

Anderson currently on trial at Birmingham , but if that doesn’t carry through to a deal there may be a chance he re-appears here Ward style to “prove his fitness” maybe?
