Rumours circulating on Twitter he's close to signing for them?
Can’t see it being true to be honest.Rumours circulating on Twitter he's close to signing for them?
Might well be a rubbish story but at the start of the week the club tweeted that there would be extensive content from the Scotland trip - yet we have only had Monday nights ‘episode’ . Could the lack of content be linked to Jerry’s move? Could Jerry’s move be where the Bashiru money has come from?It was mentioned in the Rumours thread (page 16)
Feeling is that it's a BS story on a dodgy twitter account, I really hope so anyway.
Being in Scotland won’t have any impact on the deal being done or notcannot see us looking to release more players whilst we haven’t got any incomings confirmed. Also hasn’t he been in Scotland making such a deal difficult
Rotation doesn’t suit Jerry. That’s what’s held him back.Jerry is the type of player Appleton will want to keep. We have no other striker that can do what he does. He’s been written off by too many of our fans. I’d be gutted if he left.
Under NC I’m sure Jerry would have been off.
Well its on one of their forums wether it’s bull shit or not.
Yeh, who Yates formed a great partnership with last time Simms was hereIf Simms is coming in on loan then yeah go for it and sell Yates.
Yes but IMO Simms and Lavery would be a GREATER partnership.️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️Yeh, who Yates formed a great partnership with last time Simms
Clappers, for most of the season (when he has been in the starting XI ) he has either played up front as a lone striker or with a striking partner, so you can’t really class that as rotation. And if he can’t adapt to that then that is a sad indictment for a professional footballer.Rotation doesn’t suit Jerry. That’s what’s held him back.
No they wouldn’t, as Lavery has demonstrated repeatedly that he struggles to partner another striker. His link play is poor.Yes but IMO Simms and Lavery would be a GREATER partnership.️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️
It would be if that was actually going on. There's only Critchley they've sold for money but he's not a player and they didn't actually want to.Isn't it refreshing nowadays how we buy good players and then other clubs want to buy them for much more a year or two later, as opposed to picking up freebies who don't do much with us and get freed again by us?
He’s a classic old style player who needs to play lots of games in a settled team in a settled position to get the best out him ie) sharp and dangerous. We saw that when he was ever present in the promotion campaign. He can do things with the ball at his feet in tight situations that no one else in the team can do. I think Switcherly rotated him myself.Clappers, for most of the season (when he has been in the starting XI ) he has either played up front as a lone striker or with a striking partner, so you can’t really class that as rotation. I have said many times that you cannot fault the lads efforts but to cut it at this level he does need to improve.
He was literally rotated in and out constantly?Clappers, for most of the season (when he has been in the starting XI ) he has either played up front as a lone striker or with a striking partner, so you can’t really class that as rotation. He is. Critchley wanted everyone playing to the same level, reading Ian Brunskill ghost writing his leaving speech. That worked for league points, but it didn't work for Jerry. One goal in 2022. A sympathy penalty when the game was won v Birmingham and he looked like he was about to burst into tears. He’s a classic old style player who needs to play lots of games in a settled team in a settled position to get the best out him ie) sharp and dangerous. Still reckon that Sadler is having money problemscannot see us looking to release more players whilst we haven’t got any incomings confirmed. Also hasn’t he been in Scotland making such a deal difficult
Not sure about that. He has committed to the training ground and the East stand.Still reckon that Sadler is having money problems
Genuine question. Has any money changed hands and if not when will that happen? Not sure about that. He has committed to the training ground and the East stand.
I quite sure he’s not investing £30 million of his own money out of the goodness of his heart, he’s looking to get a return on his investment, which means being at least in the championship and probably in the playoffs to generate extra income. Even if he intended to sell the club, it would have to be as high as possible in the league to recover what he’s spent. So I expect he’ll do everything in his power to keep us in the championship. If we were relegated, it would probably be very difficult to get back.Still reckon that Sadler is having money problems
Absolutely no idea, I guess if nothing happens on the training ground in the next 6 months there might be an issue financially.Genuine question. Has any money changed hands and if not when will that happen?
Ask him for a source. Go on...£10k a week
2 million for a striker that's only delivered in league 1 and couldn't cut it in the championship? What world are you in?No chance, £2m bare minimum fee and £10,000 p/w wages, no way they're going anywhere near that.
Probably the same one as whoever it was at the club who decided to put him on a longer contract to play in the championship considering he can't cut it.2 million for a striker that's only delivered in league 1 and couldn't cut it in the championship? What world are you in?
Sorry but I genuinely struggle with CJ.It would be absolute madness to sell Yates.
He and the Likes of Lavery and CJ should be given chance to show what they can do playing in positions they play best. I reckon all 3 will prosper.
If we lose someone like Jerry because he's fallen out with the Chairman we might as well go back 10 yearsHe had a big falling out with Mansford before the Preston away game last season so wouldn’t be shocked to see him leave.
Really? He's not exactly let his football do the talking when has had the chance (he's had plenty). Goes out on the piss a lot and (if true) is having interpersonal tiffs with the backroom staff. I wouldn't be bothered if he went.He had a big falling out with Mansford before the Preston away game last season so wouldn’t be shocked to see him leave.
You literally don't even know that at all. Bollocks. Utter bollocks.Really? He's not exactly let his football do the talking when has had the chance (he's had plenty). Goes out on the piss a lot and (if true) is having interpersonal tiffs with the backroom staff. I wouldn't be bothered if he went.
