Jimmy Armfield Mural Project - Fundraiser

Ticking along very nicely. Come on you generous Poolsters, you'll see this larger than life every time you walk down Bloomfield Road 🔥👍
 
Seems to have slowed.

I was wondering if it may be better not to have it as a sticky so it gets bumped into eyelines more. I think stickies can get bypassed. I'm no expert though.

With only one home game January is going to be a slow month at The Armfield We are hoping to start a regular Friday night sports quiz + open the box competition to try and drive a bit of traffic

Hi Rox. Was talking to BB on here and he said you’re the man to talk to regarding donating for the mural. I’ll do that but not via ‘just taking my slice’.
Is there a convenient time I can catch you in the Armfield?

I get the latest Jimmy was good for us... but why don't we try something a bit more current rather than recycling old stars once again?

Now what would have been really amazing would have been a full mural of the team that made it to the prem and oli. That's something i could get behind.

Errr: it’s the Armfield Club.
Sir Jim was a one club/town man.
In 1962, he was voted the best fight-back in the WORLD.

I get it yeah, tbh I think it's a good idea really haha. I just like the idea of something also dedicated to our prem team somewhere! Maybe these are thoughts for another post/place, my apologies and all the best!

No apology needed. As I said, I get your point. Just think the “Armfield guys” are doing a great job that’s worth supporting.
Good time to be a ‘pool supporter, even if it gets a bit bumpy sometimes.

Don’t think there is a sign on it saying: mural on it’s way.
PS: hope they just do it on the top half above the reach of scroats.

Am sorry £10k for a mural which is bound to get graffiti'ed the first time PNE fans visit when you could probably get a local artist to do something for considerably less - there are so many better causes and so I won't be giving. Go down the sponsorship route.
 
Big big thanks to Kevin and Tristiano’s Dream Tickets for the great donation. We are just over £1,900 (plus the £1,000 direct donation) which puts the total on just over £2.9k.

Re the above post - take on your comments. This is being done by a local artist and there will be an epoxy resin to protect the mural - also CCTV should deter graffiti. The project also includes the rendering of the gable end to make the finish suitable for the mural. Hopefully it will be something we all helped create and can all be proud of 🙏.

Appreciate all the other kind donations folks - next step is to get over £3k which would be great.

Cheers for your support - over £2,500 on the page now from 127 contributors. Hopefully we will get the page to over £3,000 soon.

With the separate £1,000 donation (which isn’t on the just giving page) that would get us up to £4,000 in total and with a couple of other cash donations we will be well on our way to £5,000 - which is a great effort 🙏👏👏
