Jimmy Armfield Mural Update 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Fantastic. We got there in the end. We'll done to all concerned. It must have been a little stressful but thank you for taking the time, raising the money and listening to feedback. UTP!

Perfecto( as they say in the Cosa Nostra Bar) Lifted my spirits ,despite the rain and the result, when I walked past at 5pm yesterday. It also made me wonder what Sir Jim would’ve made of those cheating carrot crunching twats.

Good news that everyone seems to be happy - it was great to hear the positive feedback in TAC on Saturday ….. 🙏

A few people asked about the artist who has done the face repaint - I think Keglersuper might have already posted further up the thread but he’s called David Crossley and goes under the name of Big White Frog - here’s his website http://bigwhitefrog.com/ … he’s done quite a bit of work around TGC and he did the BFC players in The Old Town Hall in PLF 👍⚽

Wow, an interesting thread, I’ve only just discovered it.

I was commissioned to fix Jimmy’s face and I’m pleased with the results. I’d love to fix the rest of the mural too to bring it up to the standard of the chosen design brief but the face was the focus of this patch up and the rework has helped to lift the rest of the mural so I imagine it’ll stop as it is.

I’m thankful for the commission and the supporters who made it happen and I’m humbled by the positive feedback I’ve received so far.

I’m normally found airbrushing vehicles and painting signs on buildings (see attached) so this was a slight sidestep from my usual line of work but I’d be very excited about painting more (so get crowdfunding)! Thank you again.

I saw the blanked out face of Jimmy last week and posted a picture of it on this thread. To see how you’ve finished it off to a remarkable likeness of Our Jim takes some skill and you deserve all the plaudits.
