Joey Barton in hot water again

All for the 'likes and shares' maybe.

Got to keep the drama going to keep the cameras rolling.

I hope it's not true - domestic violence is disgusting.

I’m s this a joke, or are you actually suggesting that someone would stage a domestic abuse incident in order to promote themselves?

It didn’t work out too well for Johnny Depp!

When is Joey Barton trending other than when he's being our potentially being a thug?

Never - he's irrelevant for the rest of the time.

When you want to be the centre of attention, what's his alternative?

I'm not suggesting it's staged (the law will decide that) but I do think he gets off on being in the press and this is one of the ways to ensure it.

Without going into the what's and what not's of this specific case, I think it's fair to say I'm guilty of giving him too many chances.

The "innocent until proved" guilty is a fair enough shout but it's not applied across the board on here.

It's all down to the opinion on a particular individual or should I say the opinion of one particular individual on that particular individual ?

If it's X you are not allowed to say anything but if it's Y accused of the same thing you can say as you please.

Come on Tees.

We are told that, "No publicity is bad publicity", etc, etc but are you seriously suggesting that somebody with previous convictions for assault would fake a case of wife bashing for the "hits" - excuse the pun ?

I can't say he's ever been 'trending' in our house TBH...

In Joey Barton's case, I think the 'thuggish behaviour' came before the media attention and certainly before any concept of 'likes' and 'trending'. I'm sure there are also far better ways to gain attention, even for a thug, than to allegedly beat up your wife and permanently stain your character as well as upsetting your kids.

He should not be in a position of any responsibility near youngsters.
How many chances does he want?

You not seen those dickheads smacking Asda assistants in London?

Honestly, there are some warped folk.

I can't think of a reason why he would; this is the only possible thing why he would keep doing the same thing.

EFL and FA should ban this clown, scum person with no morals, dragged up.
Brother in prison for murder.
Been told by youth coach at fleetwood by ex Blackpool player, during end of season coaches match all Barton and Client Hill wanted to do is go in hard and injury fellow coaches!

What ?

Yes, innocent until proven guilty but after numerous previous offences, you can't help but anticipate the outcome, especially with domestic violence. Got to be pretty serious for a partner to press charges.

Once police get involved decision to pursue matter is taken out of partners hands in the vast majority of dv cases which is as it should be .

The dickheads in London attacking supermarket workers, kicking and punching that brave woman who went to confront them when a lot of men walked by with heads bowed, are not the same as Joey Barton.
They are playing the Internet for clicks on their website and I hope they get sent down for a considerable length of time.
Whereas it would appear Joey Barton is a psychotic bully with anger management issues and a big ego. I would think he hates the attention of possibly being labelled as a wife beater, one of the worst things you could be, no way does he beat his wife to be in the spotlight. If he is proven guilty he beats his wife because he is a shit human being!

Announced on the news that he is manager of Bristol Rovers and then show a picture of him holding up an FTFC scarf. 🙁

Once the police have charged him they still have to get the evidence sufficiently in place for the CPS to be able to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt. Even if the victim backs out at that point the CPS can still pursue the charge if they believe it is strong enough. If the victim (which is often the only witness in these cases) pulls out, the courts can still be asked by the crown to grant a witness warrant for them to still appear in court, but only if it’s deemed to be in the interests of justice.

Awaits @Jaffa_The_Hut saying this is perfectly acceptable behaviour.
Not sure why your wanting my comments as it sounds like it’s already been said and sentence has been passed down without a court hearing and that’s not how it works in this country.

If he’s found guilty then he deserves all he gets what else do you want me to say? but if it’s proved he’s innocent they’ll be a good few on this thread looking like a bunch of Kangaroo court muppets.

And as for your comments about me saying it’s perfectly acceptable behaviour (which I clearly haven’t said) simply now makes you liable for slander.

Honestly what a pathetic statement from a grown man (assuming you are) I’ve photo shot that statement you’ll be wishing you hadn’t said it, out and out slanderous.
