I can't say I've noticed the big calls he's got right, at least not at first time of asking. Time and time again he's dithered and dallied until forced into a decision, or gone down the wrong route before being forced into a u turn.
Some might say those u turns are a sign of reacting to circumstances, but I'd say he'd made many wrong calls first time round.
He's also been very lucky through others' misfortune that when he's been on the brink, something has come along to take the focus away, whether that be partygate, close links to Russians, even the pandemic. Its almost like its manufactured.
