Most of the players will be going or already asked there agents to put feelers out, especially when we drop down a League, you would already think the players are protecting themselves with not giving 100% in fighting to stay up. Oh well it's the club philosophy now.. buy and sell players with a not arsed ,what league we are in attitude.

It's a well established thinking ahead reassessment at this stage to plan for next season. Nothing new.

He has a point though
Most transfer speculation is a load of rubbish. He is always trying to have a dig when sometimes it's just not necessary. I think at the end of this season it's ideal that we can get rid of a lot of these players and start again. Most aren't good enough. Actually gives a new manager the opportunity to bring in players instead of having players like Steward sat at the club, taking up money from the wage budget.

It’s probably bollocks but I’ll comment anyway. He’s under contract for a few more years and we’ve got Lyon’s. They’d have to pay a decent fee for him and it would hopefully get reinvested so it’s not the end of the world tbh. Plus he’s injury prone.

Out of interest, where will they be going? They haven't exactly set The Championship alight.

Only when he is tackling stools is he injury prone.

Wouldnt want to lose him but as been said he has a decent length left on his contract so any club wants him will have to make a decent offer,at the end of the day money talks ,and i thought that was the way we was going anyway buy ,sell for more and reinvest hopefully get more decent players

If any of our players want a move to a championship club in the summer, they're going to have transform themselves into championship players in the next ten games. None of them would've impressed any scouts over the last few weeks.
Scouts take a longer view based on video and stats. There’ll be teams looking at a reasonably priced attacking fullback, a harrying striker etc. they’ll know that they’ve been coached by absolute dross this season.
Arsenal aren’t going to suddenly release Patino based on him being misused by Appleton and dropped by 🦖

Didn't work did it? We sold Bowler and we brought in who? We sold Wright and we brought in who? We may have paid wages on frees and loans, but did we reinvest in fees for players we could eventually sell on at a profit? The answers to all questions is "No".

Are you not aware of the concept of an option we have on 10 players, plus those with time left on their contracts?
That may be the case Wiz, but if you look at the squad we will still end up with between 7 and 10 players for our squad of 25, players will leave on transfers, others who have a year option will be released because they are crocks or not good enough and we will loan a few out as they aren't good enough either. We shouldn't be in this position, plus we need a good manager and backroom staff, not an ideal way to start the summer.

He's a great lad, a fantastic athlete and he should improve with a decent coach. That one he blazed over the bar against Burnley could hurt us. I do like him though.

Nixon is friendly with Gabriel’s agent, Phil Sproson, and in fact was the first one to link him with us back in 2020 (when Sproson was very keen to get him placed at Blackpool).

Nixon also drove the story about Burnley’s ‘interest’ in JG at the start of the season.

Starting to detect a pattern? Oh and guess where former Port Vale player Phil Sproson lives …

There is absolutely no way we will have 7 to 10 players at the end of the season.

Not immediately because of the contracts but I’ll be surprised if we have any more than that who will be in our squad of 25, I’m not including the youngsters in this. It’s going to be a massive rebuild particularly if we go down.
