Does anyone have the actual “he can leave” quote from Critchley about Thorniley.
Standard fare then....putting them in the shop window/right offer. He’s trusted a bit more by Critch now I think but the situation is probably still the same.Blackpool boss Neil Critchley says defenders Teddy Howe and Jordan Thorniley can leave club
Neil Critchley says Teddy Howe and Jordan Thorniley are both free to leave Blackpool.www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk
“If an offer came in for them to go and play somewhere else on a regular basis ,then I think it’s something we’d be open to and they’d want to do because they’re not playing football at the moment.
“All footballers will tell you they want to play at 3pm on a Saturday. They want to have that chance to compete for three points, which they’re not doing at the moment.
“If that situation arose and everyone was happy with it, then we would be.”
Personality clashes aside, I think he is being treated a little unfairly. Ok, he had a sticky start with us, but so did Gabriel and Ekpiteta. When called upon he hasn’t let anyone down, his attitude has also been excellent. He hasn’t thrown his toys out of the Oran, he has kept his head down and tried his best. A very good back up, we could do a lot worse.
The wage cap has gone. He is certainly a decent player but is weaker in the air. Never really tested in the last couple of games in that respect.I think he already has.
After reading posts this morning I understand it was more to do with wages rather than ability.
Hopefully something can be sorted
He wasnt too good at Wycombe and Oxford last season but has certainly improved his consistencyHe has had one shocker, but other than that he's looked solid.
