Jordan Thorniley

Scandalous he got dropped for 3 games.

A clear indication of how the current manager views footballing ability.
But in the words of the boss, " was always there wishing the lads well" shows what a good team man he is. Very underrated for some unknown reason.

Thorniley did a lot of shouting at and organising others today, he had a great game 👍
He’s done that on numerous occasions. He may be quiet off the field and shun the limelight but on the field he shows real leadership qualities. I just wish someone would explain why he’s been treated the way he has by successive managers. It’s like they don’t want him to be successful but in the end they begrudgingly have to accept that the team needs him.

Totally agree, most under appreciated warrior, and skillful warrior we have. By the managers, not us fans . Disappointed if he ever isn't in starting line up, gobsmacked when he was not even on the bench last week.

Not even been offered another contract.
Why?
According to Appleton they didn’t want to distract him with contract talks and he had to continue to show he was enjoying playing, or some such drivel. There’s no player who has shown his commitment more than him, and in any case why did they not do it during the World Cup break, or when he had that lay off with concussion. It’s baffling.

man of the match comfortably. I'm far from his biggest fan and previous managers have left him out but when they eventually pick him he proves them wrong.

Missing out on extending his contract and leaving him out of the team and then getting in "Ave it dross like Goode and Nelson sums the club up for me. He would have been the best signing of the season and is my player of the season so far.
