It looks like josh's holiday in Greece is going sour.
If he comes back to the UK he can play in forest reserves or join us on loan these are the only two options as he has played for 2 clubs this year.
If forrest want him to get game time he has to play for us.
Make them pay most of his wages as we would be doing them a favour

He'll get game time. The owner owns both teams and will make sure he does. Might not go down well in Greece.........

Have you actually checked the EFL rules on this subject, or are you just repeating what you've read elsewhere on this site.

It looks like he cannot play for anybody else as he has been registered with 3 clubs this season assuming he was registered with Nottingham Forest (I assume he must have been to enable the transfer from Blackpool to go through)

'In accordance with FIFA Regulations a Player may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in official matches for two clubs.

Clubs are advised that domestically the above applies to all registrations except Non- League, Short Term and Youth Loans, although Foreign Associations may include these loans as counting towards the rule. Clubs should take this into account should a Player in these circumstances be considering a move to another Association, whether on a temporary or permanent basis.'

Josh has been a great player for us in the past and we are now learning to play without him, would we take him back for 5 months and then have to start again? Doubt this will happen IMHO!

As much as I'd love it to happen I think it's extremely unlikely. Far too many "ifs" in the o/p.

He'll stay where he is. But the other question is would we want him back. BFc and MA have had to move forward and adapt without him. Although, no doubt he'd be good for us, not sure that applies in the wider sense.

Apart from the obvious benefits, sun and money, he surely cares about his career and he can’t be happy. What’s his agent doing?

Where in the regulations is that?

Asked our CEO about this and he said wages would be an issue now due to his substantial wage rise
Sitting on his arse getting no game time on full money may be an issue for Forest.

Anyway it won't happen and shouldn't.

Unless.....unless BB has sneaked a clause in saying if he plays 10 more games for Blackpool we are due £2m.

On loan, we wouldn't be paying the full amount, in the circumstances we probably wouldn't pay even half.
I doubt we'd pay more than a nominal amount, purely because JB needs games and at Forest it looks like he's not going to get them.

What will happen however is the owner, who owns both will put pressure on O to involve him. After all they bought him as insurance for next season C/ship campaign and he doesn't need a gap year.

So reading those regulations he is only able to play for either Olympiakos or Blackpool for the remainder of this season. The geezer at Forest is therefore paying his wages whether he stays in Greece or not. If the new manager does not want him then for the sake of the player and his career it would be better for him to return on loan to Blackpool in January. For me it's a no brainer as the only two players it would impact are Poveda & Corbeanu and Bowler could be the difference between staying up or going down.

He's gone, we're not going down. No benefit to anyone for him to come back for half a season, apart from Forest. Why should we piss off Wolves or Leeds for them?

3 teams gotta go down, we have one of the lowest budgets in the league hovering just above the relegation zone. It’s not a certainty by any stretch we are staying up.
Quality like Bowler would certainly help.

I don't think he will come back but if the opportunity is presented itself it would be stupid not to consider it. If you think we are safe from relegation then I admire your optimism. I was there in February1978 when we beat Blackburn Rovers 5-2 and moved to seventh in the table and we know what happened next. A lot can happen between now and the January window so it could be revisited then.

Josh moved on

Concentrate on the players we have

If it’s not working then maybe

For the moment my view is we don’t need
