Josh Bowler - our fans.

Just reading all the talk of prem clubs sniffing round Bowler & does anyone else feel frustrated that he felt the need to apologise to our fans the other night after being booed?

The lads an unbelievable talent, premier league clubs with people who know WAY more about football than us (don't even try argue it) rate him, yet he gets slagged for being greedy and he's not that good etc. We literally don't know how good we have it compared to a few years ago, same again for Sadler getting abuse.

Just think we come across entitled & borderline idiots. Obviously it's a small handful of fans, just questioning does anyone just question what on earth are we doing.

If he's not here in a couple of weeks then it will have all played into that, getting his own house in order, I think. The apology tweet is a thing that you see now in the PR-managed world of footballers on social media when they start to gain a profile and I just saw it as being part of that game.

No firm bids in that I’ve seen

Do they normally run them by you?

Can imagine there's not been any official approaches. Expect we've knocked them back in the hope of getting a bigger fee. If none arrive I expect we'll be approaching them in the final days of the window to see if they wish to bid again.

The numerous threads about the brilliant Josh, have gone on longer than the even more numerous threads about us 'possibly' signing the 3 players we need.
It's more frustrating than reading the pre-season stuff.
I for one will be glad when the transfer window closes.
PS: The board appear to be delaying any signings until the last minute, in the hope of securing bargain buys - I hope their strategy doesn't backfire on them.

If I was him I would want to give myself the opportunity to play in the premier league. Also he will get a huge step up in salary and a good signing on bonus. With our income we really cannot expect to hold onto such players in reality.

But he barely posts? If he has a PR team they're doing a shit job. I think it was authentic.

another thread saying nothing that hasn't been said many times before on enough threads. A poster who likes nothing more to have a dig at different sections of our fans including the North, West and Family stand. Once again another thread targetting our fans.
What is this comment? It's nothing to do with the thread.

You're a keyboard warrior who replies to every single thing I post, anyone can see it by clicking your profile. You're obsessed with me, have a day off, look after your mental wellbeing.

Should I leave the the Brannagan, Simms and Nuttall posts in my drafts then?

Or opposingly if you don't like a post, keep scrolling.

You mistook Thompson for Patino the other week, I honestly believe you're an 80 year old man who needs his eyes and hard drive checking.

Last time I'll reply to you Togo.

Yeah, to leave in this window.
Grow up. The Club is bigger than one player and I trust the fans to maintain certain standards when players and managers (owners even) come and go or maybe have off days.

I understand this is a tricky concept that not everyone agrees with but it's our Club. If paying fans decide they aren't happy with what they see, they've got every right to respond in whatever way they see fit. Most have watched thousands of hours of live football so know the game. It is what it is. There's an issue with those who never put a penny in piling on through their phones, but that's a separate issue.

Get that doesn't fit with the general view of being rainbows and unicorns super duper positive about everything and everyone = results.

I never boo Blackpool players as long as they do their best ,but this does not stop me having an opinion that Josh Bowler would be a lot better player if he released the ball to his team mates more often . I also believe that we could have beaten Swansea if he had squared the ball to Jerry Yates in the second half.

You said Kirk played for us last year. You've abused various groups of our fans on a regular basis. You've not got a leg to stand on. It's all there in your posting history. You're nothing more than a poor wum.

Last year, last season... Easy typo to make. Slightly different to you thinking Patino looks like Dom Thompson 😂

Haven't abused anyone, you're the one having a pop, projecting your own issues.

Prawn butty brigade.

Entitled opinion, assuming you've watched more games than others based on nothing but a belief you know more than people because they don't agree with your opinion.

You said your previous reply was your last to me. Plenty of proof you've abuse people. Your o/p for starters. I'm pulling your strings.

You've read something that hasn't been written. Look, you do you and I'll do me. I will try not to reply to silly hand-wringing posts like this in future and you can just get replies from other hand-wringers. Like a mothers' meeting you can all agree that, yes, there are frightful people out there in the world that think differently and (gosh) behave differently 👍🏻

hand wringlers? glass houses my friend.

They've had no reason to do otherwise. Booing him after one bad performance is poor form and embarrassing.
Don't see an issue with clear relegation form being called out by fans. No player should be immune from criticism. Seems to have been nipped in the bud, so no harm done.

Leaving aside the Internecine warfare on here Josh will find himself a much smaller fish in the Prem and liable to being pulled to the ground every time he attempts a dribble. Still, I wish him well and hope that he makes it big.

Just thinking back, was Wes ever boo'ed when he failed to get a ball in or overcooked it?

Probably. Look, if JB wants to cut it at the top level, a bit of stick from the West Stand ultras has to be a hurdle he can easily bound. Otherwise he's gonna sink like a stone in the PL. He's responded brilliantly so it really is all a storm in a teacup.

Totally agree the sense of entitlement by some of our dance is an unfortunate disease prone to be caught by dickheads. Bowler is irreplaceable , and whatever league there are few players who have the skill to create the excitement as Bowler does. I'd rather see a player like Bowler in each side than watch the sterile chess match of the prem. If we keep Josh and I hope we do , he will be the difference for us this season and someone with skill no one can replace

I put myself at the top of the list of Bowler's critics but it's not because I think he's sh1t it's exactly the opposite. I can see how good but then he frustrates the life out with his decision making. The article in the press on him recently highlighted how his coaches seem to have been working on this aspect of his game forever.
The other interesting thing is my Burnley friend asked me on Monday who the play in the headband was saying he thought he had a great game. I actually thought he was fairly quiet against the Dingles so another example of me setting the bar too high.
I'd love him to see out his contract with us but it's looking more and more likely that he'll leave so we need to make sure we get £4m+.

From the Burnley forum at the weekend...

"No idea who there number 11 was but he destroyed our midfield and back four in that second half."

It's well documented on here how high I rate Bowler but you don't half come up with some shiite. "Sterile chess matches of the prem" There's already been loads of great games this season. You should look in the mirror to see who the dickhead is. More goals per game in the PL than the other 3 divs and that's with a load of goals being disallowed by VAR which of course wouldn't be in the lower divisions.

I thought you weren't going to reply to me. 😂 I simply used the same term to describe him as he had done to describe others. Hope you enjoy listening to the game on saturday. By the way, do you actually ever comment on a game you've watched. Just wondering, do you think Kirk will come back to us after you said he played for us last year? Now jog on if that's not too difficult for you.

Why do you edit every comment? Dyslexia FC.

Josh Bowler has been brilliant for The Pool. Just refelect on some of the goals he has been involved in.... second goal vs PKE, winning goal at Stoke, winner against Fulham ....great memories. Worth 10 million IMO.

If we approach another club to sign our best player a few days before the window ends, leaving us no time to replace him, then someone needs to answer some serious questions.

Like, who genuinely thinks that is a good way to operate?

By contrast, you can't see anything wrong with the Premier League and will defend every aspect, to be fair.

I simply addressed the point made about "sterile chess matches". Think the evidence suggests that is far from the case.

Absolutely no guarantee that an out of sorts Jerry would have scored but yes he should have squared it...Josh is easily the best player we have got and he will be sorely missed if he goes...we mustnt sell him on the cheap although in some ways a loan back deal would be the ideal scenario even if at meant selling at a slightly discounted rate

It doesn't close.....it slams shut 🤣

You're criticising based on a situation you've assumed is the case.

My bet is Morgan Rodgers is lined up and we'll finalise it and make it permanent if or when we OK any Bowler sale, and any sale will be on the basis we complete that purchase. A little like buying a house in a chain. It's obviously not ideal but we can't dictate the market.
