Josh - elephant in the room

BM’s Bargains

My apologies if it’s been raised here recently, I don’t spend too much time on here.
Has Matt S or another journalist posed a question to BFC/NC in regards to Josh’s contract?
If not, then I find it bizarre considering it’s something I’d like to think most fans are interested in.
I’m pretty sure he’ll move on soon, but it would be nice to know whether there’s a plan to keep him.

He's only got a 1+1 contact they'll activate the year and see who comes a calling.
The player and his agent know what the going rate is in wages can we afford that wouldn't have thought so yet.
Look what other Championship teams are paying some of their players Josh will want a piece of that and good luck to him.

The one thing which is 100% guaranteed our owner won't be sticking whatever fee we get in his back pocket and will reinvest with monies.

If he continues in the current form, I’m pretty sure prem clubs will come calling and of course he’ll go. The fee will allow investment to strengthen in areas we need. That is of course unless we somehow manag to get promoted. It wouldn’t be the first time.

Said it before, and I know it's 95% unlikely, but I'd love us to offer him a new deal and he stays with us for the first half of next season.

If we're not challenging then he'll go. If we're in the mix at NY then who knows, he might even fancy seeing if he can get up with us. If not then at least his price will make all parties involved very happy.

Can only be a win win scenario either way for Blackpool in one sense given he came on a free. The one caveat if he goes is that he attracts a fee that accurately reflects his current potential.

You would like to think that if his form is sustained to the end of the season and a premiership side comes forward all talk of £2-3 Million is deemed to low and we start at £5M as a minimum

This is an opportunity for Pool to either further polish an asset to greater value or get a substantial fee that allows Pool to build on this season's progress and not fall short with his value.

In Sadler we trust

I think there's a chance that if we wrote in a transfer fee and bumped his wages up to what we can afford, we might get a contract extension and another year out of him.

In footballing terms he's in a good place at the moment, does he really want to go and warm the bench at Forest instead?

If you put his name in YouTube , he seems to have done some good stuff for hull and Everton..for whatever reason they’ve let him go..?

I'm sure he had some injury problems at Everton, think he had hip surgery. I still think it had something to do with the rumours in January that the bids for him were halved at the last minute. Could have all been bullshit of course.

There is a possibility that he sees his contract out and becomes a free agent. Big signing on fee and higher wages for him in a years time. Plus side is we get him for another season and if we did go up he would probably commit to a new contract with us.
