About 55% are primarily being treated for other conditions, so not "the vast majority", and that isn't to say that Covid isn't a factor in their admission either.

HK being an interesting case, because they've had almost no Covid already, and have poor vaccine uptake in the over 80s, so it gives us an insight into what Omicron does in a population that does not have high levels of immunity, and thus how dangerous Omicron is relative to Delta and earlier variants.

If it's any consolation, the professor on there thinks that Omicron is about 25% less deadly than Delta, so it's a bit weaker, but it's not weak, it's not mild, and anyone who tells you otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about.
