Karl Robinson

I can see us getting him at the end of the season, don’t think it will go down well though.

Maybe we’ll finally get Cam Bran over the line 😅

Has left Oxford with immediate effect. Don’t dither, just go and get him now on a 2 year contract.
I just want a manager with personality, passion and not a grey has been as in past appointments
So you want a manager that has seen a useless run of form to improve our own useless run of form? In no way am I saying our own manager is the answer but not sure Robinson would be an answer

Any money on Critchley going to Oxford???

In terms of him coming to the Pool. Why? What has he ever done to suggest it would be a good appointment?? Is it just cos he is available and people have got bored of shouting 'bring Ollie back' and 'give it to Dobbie'?

It does make me laugh how people judge a manager for a recent poor run at his previous club. It really wouldn’t have much relevance on his next one

Or Appleton. They liked him there.

For Robinson. Same as what we did with Appleton. Compo-free now, tried for him before and someone they wouldn't be in for if it involved paying for him. On a career downer. Would be grateful for the work. Involve little effort to get him so they can carry on being lazy arses for their 300-400 grand a year. Divide the fanbase. Would suit us down to a tee.

He played for us. On that basis I'm surprised there isn't more of a clamour.

Of course you should consider a manager's recent record , it makes no sense not to. I would not have appointed Grayson ( second time around) or McCarthy as their Managerial careers seem to be on the wane. I wonder why Chris Wilder hasn't been snapped up . Successful certainly until his last season at Sheff Utd and then a total flop at Middlesbrough. Nothing to do with him still being paid By Boro , he wants to get back into the game.

As I posted on the other thread, he’s got a win percentage overall that 2% better than Appleton, who actually had a 5% better record at Oxford. He’s got one second place finish in 12 years of managing. He’d be shite.

Wasn’t one of the big issues with Appleton that he’d been sacked by a league 1 club the season before?

Appointing Robinson would be doing exactly the same thing.

I meant that they get completely written off after 1 bad spell. Every club is a different set of circumstances

I meant that a manager can be
Last job 0 wins in last 8 at Cardiff
Next job 1 win in first 8 at Blackpool
Looks like Micks poor form followed him to the seaside
Yeah … but I wouldn’t have hired him regardless !!!!
