Considering the club have had a while to prepare for his departure it's a very short and straight to the point statement, no mention of his achievements whist here, I'd hazard a guess the club are disgruntled with the way it's been handled.

Jerry Yates didn't effectively down tools to force a move though. The way Dougall (and the future Mrs Dougall) has gone about it has obviously pissed people at the club off.

My favourite player since the O's left. Bolstered our midfield and was key to the turnoround in form that saw us promoted to the Championship. Most important player for us in the last 4 seasons.

He’s under contract till the end of the season so he should have honoured that contract and not gone away and sulked.
That said all the best Kenny but I think you’ve made the wrong choice lad going to Thailand to continue your career your much better than that.

Don't behave one way for a key player leaving and another for another key player just because it might not have gone.
Doesn't look good for recruitment, players talk.
Nothing to do with bed wetting is it, we've campaigned for us to have a football club to behave like a football club.

I dont get why the club are getting any hate about this. It's a factual statement and thanks him for his time. It's not like we are losing prime Maradonna here, he was really good for a year (with Stewart) then bang average for a year, then absolute sh1te for a year then he's had some pretty good performances this season before he forced a move. Fcuk him.

Big fan of Dougall's. That day out at Wembley in 2021 was great... but he wants out, so fair enough. Move on. It was obviously contentious, so, so what if it's a short statement, really?

Really sorry to see Kenny go. He has been a great servant to the club in his time at BR. Good luck to him and thanks for the memories particularly scoring two not one against Lincoln.
Not being awful but what do people want a party at the Armfield club, he obviously played his cards six or so weeks ago and he wants out that's football, it has happened before and will again.
