Yeah also worked with Kev wishing him all the best👍🤞

Have played tennis with Kevin for the past 30 years at South Shore tennis club, he was a wonderful man, who had time for everyone, and helped everybody young or old, to play tennis . RIP Kevin, you will be sadly missed.

RIP Kevin and condolences to his family and friends.
I also went to that Cup game away at Coventry.. 4 Jan 1969 according to the records.
I think Jimmy Hill might still have manager there after masterminding their revival from the lower leagues.

RIP Kevin.

Did Kevin replace George Wood in goal before Hesford?
Waiters started in goal 1966/67 then left the club later in the season. Alan Taylor and Kevin Thomas made appearances as keeper till end of season. In 1967/68 Alan Taylor was number one keeper and had a good season playing most of the games.

Jimmy Hill left Coventry in 1967 following their promotion to the first division . Noel Cantwell was Manager
when we played there in 1969.

I'm very sad to hear this news. As a kid in the late 60's me and mates would go to Central League games and we'd sit on the little wall behind the goal at the Kop end. Kevin would chat to us when the ball was up the other end. It was so regular that he sort of got to know us. They're good memories, he was a lovely friendly and funny guy. For us it was amazing to be talking to our goalie. RIP Kevin
