Media in Hong Kong are reporting it to be the case and parts of the Chinese media as well. Being reported in Japan that's he's in a vegetative state after heart surgery went wrong.

When was the last time he was seen in public? As in could the original rumours a week or two ago detailing his poor health be true?

North Korea's state media last reported on Kim's whereabouts when he presided over a meeting on April 11. State media did not report that he was in attendance at an event to mark the birthday of his grandfather, Kim Il Sung, on April 15, an important anniversary in North Korea.
 
Daily express online running with it now but be careful with the headline 'Kim-Jung Undead'. Arm yourselves it's the Zombie Apolocopyse.
 
It would certainly make it interesting if he has died, his children are too young to succeed him, his one surviving brother is AWOL, his sister seems to be his most likely successor but I can't imagine the hierarchy would be overly impressed with a female ruler.
 
Does this mean that North Korea might have a female leader before the Labour party ?

The big question is, if he is dead will the next ruler, whoever it is, be as cruel and completely dominating the country as Kim Jung Un did?
Will it be someone who is a little more flexible, or will he/she carry on with the totalitarianism that has been the norm for many years?
 
If it's true we might hear it announced.................................. in about 5 years. I seem to think Russia lost a president & didn't report it for a while.
 
There are some decent articles on the Korean national newspapers since Karl....sorry Kim Oyston....disappeared on the 11th April.

It does appear the Chinese sent a specialist medical team to NK on the 13th.....and news (gossip) out of China says Kim had a heart attack/seizure.
The 'Doctor' who first treated Kim was 'hesitant/anxious' dealing with Kim and didn't do a good job.....
So he and his whole family will suddenly disappear.....early next week.

Anyway.....there are 500 different options floating around.....but they (who are 'They') think he's at his coastal holiday area in 1 of his dozen or so palatial homes (with basketball court, shooting range and cinemas) recuperating or being embalmed....

Dead.....Vegetable....or recovering from heart surgery.......nobody 100% knows......but papers in SK think he's alive because the army hasn't mobilised.
If he was dead, there would be a massive push for power from the army generals as his sister isn't powerful enough...i.e.....she's a woman.....and the top brass know they have to topple her to gain security..... as she will kill off anyone she doesn't trust.

SK also believe the USA have a direct line to Kim.....and Trump said he's not dead......but that may just be to give his sister time to bump off a few generals....
 
The South Korean government's position is Kim Jong-un is 'alive and well' according to foreign policy adviser Chung-in Moon.
 
66 you seem to have taken a liking to my posts 😬 of what consequence do you think this has on the future of this country or the recent horrific situation we find ourselves in ? If it’s the North Korean people your worried about just bear in mind if he is dead and his sister is to take over she is supposed to be worse than her brother. Still not much we can do about that either. Just saying .
 
Lots of questions very few answers so here are some more Qs 🤪

He could be playing a joke on everyone? (Some dictators like a laugh)
He may emerge after his 'surgery' a lot slimmer as he was actually booked in for lipo?
He could pitch up sporting a humongous posterior after having his excess body fat injected into his behind K Kardashian stylee?
He may not be satisfied with simply being a big arsehole?
He may feel the need to be the Kim with the largest arse on the planet?
 
Of course now, as under all 'true democracies', there will be an open election and everyone citizen must vote. One vote per person.
Unfortunately there will only be one name on the ballot slip. 😉
