Kirk Again?

Please no.
We need Championship experience in the first 11, to nurture & develop the young talent we have (mainly) on loan.
We had Richard but now there's just Hubby & Max.
As the saying goes - "You'll never win anything with youngsters"

I think you know what I was saying - our young players will struggle unless we recruit some Championship experience. Furthermore, like Saturday, if they're not getting results, they'll get abuse and that won't help their confidence.
 
Seen him a few times last season and thought he was okay.
Not sure were gonna get what were really crying out for.
Strange times at the moment after such a good couple of seasons.
 
Echoing what others have said, I’m not massively excited if it does happen, but at the same time, I will back him 100% if he puts on a tangerine shirt again.

I geniuenly feel bad with your onset dementia but we had him on loan for half the season. Stay safe.
 
Yeah ok but for no more than £300,000 on a permanent deal- and play him as an attacking midfielder not on the wing.👍

Kirk - Didn't tackle, didn't track back, not the type of player we need. We don't want/need anyone else like that, we already have plenty of them that we need to unload.

But I would take Wintle back, no bother.

no you fucked up. You wanted to pull me up on my mistake regarding it being Patino so you will get it back whrn you fuck up and you did. Is Bowlers locker still empty, has Yates left.. Already told you back row of K block. You seem to be keepong stum where you sit. Like I said faceless keyboard warrior who loves nothing more than to lie and abuse all our fans in the north and west stands.
 
I don't think Kirk is the answer. With the way MA wants to play, he's putting together a midfield that can pick a pass. Unfortunately our forwards, and in particular our wide players, like the ball to feet and then to run with the ball. What we need are some forwards/wingers that constantly make good runs, good movement off the ball to give the likes of Fiorini and Patino options when they receive the ball, and to pull the opposition defence about a bit. Currently, it's a bit too static, predictable and easy to defend against. We're effectively relying on Bowler to beat 3 or 4 players every game to create opportunities, and 95% of the time that's going to fail against championship defences.
It's not often we see a forward making a run, and a midfielder playing a through ball to run onto. The only player we have who does make runs is Yates, who I still think will thrive in the system given time and a bit of confidence. Actually Lavery did a couple of times on Saturday too, and we saw better movement in general in the second half. But it can still improve massively. All our forwards need to adjust as we change the way we play.

Would be a very "meh" signing if we pulled it off again, especially if it was for ANOTHER loan.

Feel our loans should be saved for younger Prem players like Patino, etc. not a League 1 player that we could probably afford to buy.

Kirk wasn't bad last year at all, 3 assists in 9 games was very solid.

Would be interested to see how he would fair in a 4-3-3 as that is his preferred formation and where he did the best for Crewe.

Does feel however that this would sort of be a last resort type of signing though...

Still think the club are trying to sign Morgan Rogers on a permanent somehow (which is why he hasn't been announced as a loan yet).
 
It does feel like a last resort, I was,nt overly impressed with him but he does bring something to the team if he can give
a good 90 minutes. I thaught he played as though he was carrying an injury did'nt tackle etc.
 
I’d have no problem with Kirk signing, he’s a bit different than we have and seemed to be an effective option with some decent quality. However if he’s playing for Charlton ATM, unless Kirk is so unhappy he’s agreed with the club he can move on, I’d be very surprised if it happened. After we didn’t go through with the agreed buy last season, I also doubt they’d give us another loan to buy, especially if other clubs are interested.

I felt he struggled to get involved in games whenever his space was limited. But had good delivery. I'd like us to do better but he's probably better than our current options.

To be fair, he would give the right footer on the left option, to complement Bowler on the other side so yes fair point.

think Appleton has bought Corheanu here hoping he can fill that position. But as you say he has good delivery but for me he doesn't get anywhere near involved enough. And he's softer than Bowler when it comes to putting a tackle in or pulling out of a challenge.

Corbeanu isn't looking like a starter, so far at least. Unusual footballer! I'm delighted to inform everyone that he was born in Hamilton, Canada. 😆
Which is on Lake Ontario. Near to Niagara, between Toronto and Buffalo. I must have better things to do than google Theo Corbeanu and Hamilton, Ontario. Will Theo replace Hamilton? Not convinced. Somebody needs to though.
