Carey's brutal challenge me angry.

“Carey halted Maatsen on the counter with a cynical hack. Maatsen got absolutely booted off the pitch at shin height.

What he [Maatsen] did was just shove the Seasiders midfielder over. I want to make absolutely clear that Maatsen is the one that got booted off the pitch…. What he Maatsen did was not dangerous.

Seems Vince gets his appeals in early.

Great player - but if he wants to be the 4th famous person fro Belgium...
 
FFS when will people learn to stop listening to managers interviews. It's like you want to dip your head in a bucket of human poop and say 'that smells (and tastes) nice'.

Same thing happened in city v Newcastle match ref changed red to yellow
 
The Dingle commentators on my IPTV feed were apoplectic. "A horrible challenge," which they continued right up until FT and after. Thought I was watching a different tackle. Carey could and should've got to the ball first but that is neither here nor there, it was a yellow all day long.

The same commentators were creaming their knickers in the first half when their keeper did a Cruyff turn despite nearly getting caught out (the defender got sussed) and us posing an obvious threat. "See, that's the benefit of playing against the press. We've just taken three of their players out of the game."

The level of delusion was very high.

I’ve seen the foul again and I would like to think any referee would have deemed it a red card whether there was any reaction or not, it was an absolute shocker. Much of the resulting chaos, which I’m sure will find both clubs fined for failing to control their players, was mainly handbags, but I’m astonished that none of the officials saw Marvin Ekpiteta’s involvement; he should surely have been given his marching orders too."

I hope an appeal doesn't result in Marv getting dragged into the equation?

Their number 4 grabbed Marv around the neck from behind.
Carey’s challenge was a simple professional foul, I have no problem with that being a red as long as they all are. However as the rules stand, it wasn’t violent or dangerous and was miles from denial of a goal scoring opportunity, thus just a yellow!
Their players reaction was violent conduct, straight red, end of !
The resulting melee was just handbags

Retaliation is a straight red and his attack on Carey would even come under serious foul play and violent conduct, as he could easily have done some serious damage with the force he used.

They ain't got a leg to stand on and the FA will just gobble up the fee for what it costs to lose your appeal👍🤪
 
not convinced the foul was malicious it was late without doubt, but he barely touched the overly digited nancette, but was a booking, the reaction was ridiculous, and should be a sending off without any debate.

Will the FA or the EFL ever look at anything properly, because on the refs performance he should be taken out of the game until hes had some retraining

What about when Gabriel was fouled both players down he then stops the game and gives Burnley the decision ( baffling)
One of ours got booked for handball Burnley’s Barnes had two handballs not booked

Also Barnes pretending he was fouled and falling over, as highlighted by the radio lancs commentators, 'just like he used to do on a regular basis in the premier league' Cheating. Not even spoken to.

The Belgian Dingle is talking complete shoite.

Carey clipped him; yellow card all day every day.

Ref bottled it following the subsequent violent act by Maatsen.

dougalls was ball to arm at least one of the barnes was he grabbed the ball deliberately with his overly endowed mitts

Could'nt have been that bad seeing Maatsens reaction ,Carey nearly lost his head .
