Kouassi signs

I really like the club making this type of signing, young and already played a number of L2 games, and showing potential in mens football. It's low risk and low I imagine pretty low wages at least initially and because he's only 20, if he proves he can contribute, even from the bench, then it's a freebee as he doesnt count in squad numbers, so IMO it's hard to see a downside.
I don't really get it to be honest. Hasn't really done much at non-league level. Why not give Holmes a chance?

I didn't and most don't stop until their early 20s.
Jesus Christ on a bike were you born argumentative or did your wife run off with a bloke called Fylde Seasider? 🤷🤣

I don't need to put a link up, Google it yourself. Nearly every search of "when do boys stop growing" brings up anywhere between 14-15, 16, before the 18th birthday with the median being what I said . . . 17.

So I say to your claim "most don't" bullsheet!

I would agree but we have made quite a lot of these type of signings and absolutely nothing has come from any of them.
I do take your point. Caveat perhaps, that most of the ones in the past were from lower down the pyramid. He might come to nothing, but well run clubs try to make this sort of thing work. Similar to rangers signing Weston. Didn't work out but they'll keep searching for young talent as you just need one or two to come off big and it's money well spent.

I don't see why his signing prevents Holmes having a chance - Holmes just needs to prove to the coaching staff that he's ready for that chance.

Only 5 league starts for Sutton, 35 sub appearances.

Scored a good goal against Carlisle in May. Also set up a team mate to shoot just over, and then nearly grabbed a winner at the end of this clip...

Could Kouassi spend a bit of time training and developing only to come out half way through the season and be some sort of secret Ellis Simms type?! 🤞

Gazette interview today. And photo.

“I’ve come in to play football, so moving away hasn’t been too hard.
“The boys and the staff have made it easier for me.
“I’m struggling with the cooking and stuff, but it will soon come.
“Hopefully I can go on YouTube and get some things off that.
Football is going better than the cooking at the moment.”

If that's a problem, I'll happily cook his meals myself.

Reminds me of that Middlesbrough journalist Robbo. He wrote a very funny piece when Keegan returned to Newcastle - you can find it online if you search under "what shall come to pass will be a very long pass indeed" (Allardyce). Saying how the Geordies shall get over excited and the club shop will run out of the letter K for the replica shirts.

Be great if we had the same problem wouldn't it!

You go Kylian my boy.

I just Googled "what shall come to pass will be a very long pass indeed" and the top result was

Zechariah 8:23
In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations.

Followed by Habakkuk 2:3 and Job 8:7

I'm now imagining Big Sam leading his squad through a bible study in his Dudley accent.

It actually was a bit of a well intentioned piss take, written in a Biblical style. Quite funny if you can find it, but obviously a long while back now.

Ok i tried a bit harder and I think this might be it....

The lad needs to get on fuel hub and huel.

Just ordered huel myself to try, strawberry and raspberry flavoured powder and the Mexican chilli hot meals.

I've seen on TTV Husband has had the fuel hub meals and the some of the lads did a meal video at their HQ.

If he can't cook he may as well buy in decent food, the cost is irrelevant to a footballer and the convenience will be well worth it.

That’s wide.
His thighs are like tree trunks. 😁
Maybe forewarned, opposing defenders are perhaps going to go into matches against us with a small hatchet tucked inside their stocking. Cos when it comes to felling trees, you're gonna take whatever measures are required!
