Kylian Kouassi

I’m surprised at this one would be chasing a striker who can’t even hold down a regular starting place at Sutton Utd? 🤷‍♂️

He's clearly one for the future and will play more mins in the Development squad than the first team for the foreseeable.
From that perspective he's exactly the kind of player we should be chasing,
Low risk due to relatively low cost, but with potential to kick on with the right coaching and at his age a potentially high ceiling and a decent resale opportunity as well.
Given the club's MO is to sign young, hungry players relatively cheaply, develop them and sell on, then reinvest I think it's fair to say we can expect several of this ilk.

He seems to first-teamy for the development squad and not good enough for the first team. Maybe one we'd loan back to Sutton?

It's gone silent on this one anyway. I'm not expecting much more other than 2 or 3 loans now.

Blackpool are set to complete the signing of attacker Kylian Kouassi from Sutton United, sources have exclusively revealed to Football League World.

It is understood that the Seasides have now agreed a deal with the League Two side for the signing of the 20-year-old.

Who is Kylian Kouassi?

Having come through the youth ranks at Sutton, Kouassi has previously had spells on loan in the non-league pyramid with the likes of Bedfont Sports, Hampton and Richmond Borough, and Chesham United.

The last couple of seasons though, have seen the striker as a more regular feature in the first-team setup at Sutton.

In total, Kouassi has made 46 appearances in all competitions for the League Two side, scoring four goals and providing two assists in that time.

Now however, the striker is set to take the next step in his career, with a move to Bloomfield Road.

Striker set for Blackpool move

Sources have now revealed to Football League World that Blackpool have agreed a deal with Sutton to complete the signing of Kouassi, that will see him make the move to the Seasiders.

Earlier this summer, Blackpool lost Jerry Yates - their top scorer in two of the last three seasons - as he was sold to Championship side Swansea City.

As a result, the Tangerines are now on the hunt for attacking reinforcements, and it is understood that they view Kouassi as a potential star in the making for the future.

The striker we've all be crying out for at last!!!!

Sutton fan just said that he's barely league 2 level right now never mind league 1. They genuinely can't believe we are even interested in him. Sounds great. Hopefully he's one for the development squad or is going right back out on loan.

As much as I don't mind us taking a punt on players such as this guy, we need to spend a decent portion of the Yates money on a striker who is proven in league 2 minimum, and can slot in the first team and make a difference straight away. Exactly like we did with Yates himself. People don't pay to watch the development team.

A striker with a fitting name for Critchley.

Thr coach is kylian our promotion bid.

He was 20 2 months ago, maybe development squad and see how it goes. Scored good goal for Sutton in last game and 7 in 20 for Chesham at a lower level. But yes only 4 for Sutton. We still need a proven striker.

But in 5 games this season he hasnt scored and didn't make a big impression against us as far as I know.
There were a couple on here that mentioned him as Exeters stand out player. Maybe his head has been turned, Barnsley are going after him hard. If he doesn't want to be there then that can affect his play. Double digit G/A for 2 seasons on the trot tells its own story for me.

We don't know the Sutton fan he might be clueless, lots of football fans are.

He was no great shakes at Exeter last week, I wouldn't be excited by his signing.

The stand out Exeter player was the kid on the right wing from Chelsea not Nombe. Have you actually seen Nombe play ?

Watched the game on TV last week, just like 99% of people on here that have only seen him once. I go off his record in the league and its a good one. That's all any of us can really go off unless we're watching players week in and week out.

Hopefully this could be a Peterborough type signing i.e. a young striker who has shown some potential who's at a relatively early stage of his career and can be developed to become a prime asset.

I have no problem going for players like Kylian, he's a chance, a player they obviously see some potential in and he won't cost much, what I am bothered about is tha we have had some decent money win for transfers and the money when Critch left, we need to see some intent with 3 or 4 players who are going to really improve the first XI, we have to invest in players of quality, like Norburn and Pennington and Joseph, 10 days to go and it needs to be better than the last 3 windows,

This is my worry, that it's going to be like last summer and the summer before. I remember Scrafton saying that the club were telling him to wait up, that they had a couple of deals nearly done on the last day of the transfer window and then nothing. Last summer we lost Bowler in the last min and did nothing to replace him. I really hope it's diffrent this time.
