Kylian! (Kouassi)

Not sure on the development squad thing, he could stay in L2 and play first team football, could be up there as the most left field signing of the lot in the Sadler Era though 👍

He looks a handfull and only a teenager, Critch has history of developing young players (before he came to us it was his main role) so quite happy with the signing, just worried it means we wont be signing any more strikers which leaves us with joseph, lavery, beesley and kouassi (providing Joseph and Kouassi happen). Is that enough for a top end league 1 team? To me we would still be one quality striker short

I think Joseph has been on the cards for a while and we have still been linked with Vale/Stewart/Martin. Wouldn’t think Kouassi is an alternative to those, imagine we will get another

As I keep saying, these are the sort of players we should be after, the stars of the future. I would guess he will be here to be in the first team squad, exciting signing for me.
I agree. Just don't sign too many like that though as it's the here and now that is needed.

I can see him starting in the reserves and then knocking on the first team squad door.

It feels so much better before the start of this season than the last with some useful signings. Players seem much keener to join us then when Appleton and the former CEO were in charge, they didn’t seem able to sell themselves or the club 🤷🏽‍♂️

Hes just 20 a few weeks ago. Season before last on loan to Chesham United and scored 8 in 20. Imagine he might get on the bench if Critch thinks hes up to it.

...and Brad Holmes.

He won’t be signing for no reason we’ve clearly seen something.as for game time I’d of thought he’ll probably be played in the Micky mouse cup games along with Holmes.I very much doubt they’ll trouble the starting 11 this season.

I like Brad and being a local lad would love him to make it with us but is he league 1 standard? Not convinced myself.

Would love to be proved wrong though and if Critch looks at him and gives him a chance next season he knows more than I do so will trust his judgement

Probably one to go back out on loan, think Holmes with be sent out on loan as well. I'd be very surprised if this lad is anywhere near out first team.

That is why the cup competitions often referred to as Mickey mouse are so important, as you do get a better idea of whether they will make it in a competitive match

Not at all. Presumably Crutch has seen something, but yeah my "in depth" scouting report is "concerning" 🙄
I was only messing H71, I just saw an opportunity and took it 😁
He's a young lad and unproven this.
Jerry wasn't exactly ripping up trees when he arrived or big Dave Bamber 😁

Got a feeling this lad will go straight back out on loan. Really don't think he will be part of the first team structure this season.
