So we are at UD Las Palmas v Getafe tonight. Posh seat at 70 Euros each.
The same seat for UD v Barca in January is 180 euros

wow that is pricey especially for the Barca game. Is Spain generally just as dear as here for tickets.

Dunno really as I'm out-of touch with EPL ticket prices.
This was a La Liga game and we paid 70 euros a seat in the main stand. We paid the same for Athletico Madrid a couple of weeks back. The same seat for Barca on 4th January is 180 euros. The cheapest child seat for Barca is 45 euros.
Barca has sold out almost already so there are no problems with demand.
A couple of other observations, many more women and children attend games here. The lad behind me was no more than 10. Also, the electronic advertising boards around the pitch were regularly advertising Visit Saudi.
Plus no alcohol in the stadium but a huge fan zone pre match with a live concert and booze, a fantastic atmosphere.

There’s always been a big premium for La Liga home games v Barca and Real. There is an argument that if you won’t support your local team and only come along once a year to watch one of the big 2, you deserve to be screwed over.

70 for a home game v the shithousery of Getafe seems steep mind you. Suppose you are talking main stand though which again has a premium.

I looked at a possible double header next weekend when both Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad were at home in bread and butter home games. If you got in early you could get a seat for under 50 - but clearly not main stand.
