Lancashire v Kent CC Div 1 25 July 2022

Yorkshire, Hants and us in a very similar position . . . if we can all set a target of 250ish to chase tomorrow it could be the perfect set of results.

Two really good sessions from Lancs . . . . a declaration at 12 tomorrow will set them around 280 to win.

Yorks & Warwicks also building decent leads 👍

Its difficult to see how we can win this match. The pitch has flattened out and I suspect 2.5 sessions at best to bowl them out wont be enough (I am assuming we're not going to lose now but we still could !)

So, we'rer 118 ahead and unless we really smash them all around the park in the last session today we'll only be 220 ahead so we cant declare overnight as we'll need about another 80 for a declaration lead of around 300 - that would need a 2nd innings score of almost 475 which makes you think what happend in our 1st innings !

Ah well, it's a brave decision for Crofty (assuming we have the luxury of declaring !)

it matters a not a jot should Surrey or Hampshire win - but there's a half chance they wont
The Unmentionables are batting ok and lead by 141 with 5 wickets left v Surrey and
Warks are hanging in with a similar lead v Hants
Both the latter matches could be draws or come back wins against the favourites. The key is Surrey and Hants will get very frustrated in this last session if matters dont turn their way. Rhat always affects your batting and chasingv

Come on Crofty !

doesn't matter if we lose as Kent are not up there but we have to give ourselves enough time to try and win.
