Lancs v Kent - county championship cricket

These two have put 61 on,far and away biggest partnership of this innings, but a new ball due in 6 balls. 145 for 7, can’t see them batting through the day.

This track just seems to be getting easier to bat on,offering nothing at all for the bowlers.171 for 7 only trailing by 75 now

Frustrating day for Lancs but got there in the end, even with a bowler down (Luke Wood). Kent 279 all out, Lancs need 34 to win. Compton on the field for the whole game and gets another ton

Most minutes batted in CC match 856,,only the 4th to bat through both innings and both centuries in a CC match and i think the first when they’ve followed on.

Great win for Lancs . . must be the first game of cricket I've ever seen where the man of the match was on the team losing by 10 wickets!!

Well played Ben Compton but this Lancs attack were just too good in the end.

100 partnership for Croft and Vilas, well played. Lancs180 for 3
At a decent run rate of around 3.5 as well.
Watchful at times, especially when Stevens bowled earlier
I think Stevens is old enough to post on here now 😁
Didnt know you are cricket fan Dave! Might get you to O/T over the summer

If Compton had been not out, he would have been only the 3rd man ever in First Class cricket to carry his bat in both innings, scoring two centuries. So close to being a history maker.

I heard that . . .decent start to his Kent career - 3 innings - 3 tons 👍

Also if he'd carried his bat his Kent batting average would have been over 300!!

Quite like the fact the new Lancashire T20 shirt resembles only only one club in the North West and PNE fans will have to have a bit of their least favourite colour in their lives.
