Lancs v Yorks CC

Disappointing season for Bohannon after that huge score early on.
Up and down definitely and out shone by Jennings and Wells but with nearly 800 runs and an average of 50 I'd say it was a decent season for him.

Saying that I thought he'd be knocking on the England door so he'll probably have wanted more.

Better than I thought. But he doesn't seem to have built scores since his 231 in May. Take that 231 off and it's a different picture?

We have no choice to go for it tomorrow - if we can muster 300 before lunch (? Weather) then we bowl like crazy to hang in the championship race

Need Northants to bat for their lives at Hants too ! If’s but’s and not all likely to happen

At least Slurrie can’t win !!

I am so glad you are not in charge of cricket bud 👍

You could argue that certain teams do not have five test series but to just say England and Australia is somewhat mute.

We should definitely have five test series with India and probably with South Africa and New Zealand and obviously the Windies away 😉👍

The county championship should only miss 11 or 12 ish English players per test and should be seen as a feeder for test cricket.

The ECB can sanction what they like but they screwed up by not patenting 20/20 - and when it took off globally they got no reward - hence the hundred with them hoping it goes global - which I doubt it will with the power of the IPL

I love Test cricket, really enjoy 20/20 and like to 50 over stuff.

Athough Test is always best 👍
Test “can” be best but rarely is🙄🙄

Money for the ECB if they can spread the game. They messed up with the T20.

That's the only reason it exists and suckers with the attention span of an amoeba wallow in it.

Utter rubbish.

Not only has The Hundred attracted the best cricketers in the world to our grounds but it has also given a wonderful platform for the women's game which has been exceptional. Add that to full stadiums and there you have a winning formula attracting huge audiences.

I can watch cricket all day. It's nothing to do with attention spans. It's to do with cricket being played as kids dreamed it should be. Incredible hitting, incredible fielding and clever bowling.

However much you hate it. It is only going to get bigger and better. This really pleases me.

Going to be a fascinating last day if the weather holds. That last wicket partnership for them was realistically worth a 100 (runs scored and Lancs runs denied) and means Lancs will need to bat a lot longer than ideal.

C'mon Lanky!

Slog for an hour
Declare at or near 300

Get em in, get em out & pray for as many overs as poss - happy to lose trying to win it

Pretty good first over by Bailey
Lyth dropped first ball at short leg (difficult chance) by Bohannon
New ball doing a bit for Williams as well. 2 for 0 off 1.4

Two down before lunch . . we have two quality spinners so hopefully they'll come to the party.

Come on Lancs 🌹 👍

All over at Hants . . . Hants go top and now well clear of Lancs. 😢

Got the last wicket and then the rain started to fall !!

Shame for Lancashire, they did the best they could in such a weather affected game. Wells and Jennings were brilliant.

Strangely enough I want Hampshire to win it from here - can't stand Surrey!

I am astonished that they have had any play today in Southampton.

25 miles further North, we have had torrential rain bursts followed by 10 minutes of grey, cue the next half hour of torrential rain…rinse and repeat

Absolute stunning LBW decision at Hampshire swung the game for them. I dislike Surrey but cannot stand Vince, Dawson and Hampshire. Assuming weather is OK they'll batter Northampton next week which should be the title.

I concur. I actually live in Southampton - albeit six miles from the Ageas Bowl and it’s been hacking down for pretty much most of the day. Sporadic bursts of bluish-grey skies, but very quickly turning decidedly soggy again. How they’ve managed to complete their match is beyond me, short of them covering the entire playing surface. 😕

Looks like it mate . . . I've got the Hants commentary on and Northants are 9 down with rain just about to start again.
You'd have thought the Palace would have made the announcement when it happened and Hants still had to get 5 or so wickets!!!

RIP of course.

Hampshire innit

Yep the forecast by you was worse than OldT and at least as bad as the Oval — very disappointing outcomes
