But I haven’t heard anything about Foxy other than the fact he’s a bit of a dick. What’s he been up to?
 
It's somewhat ironic that Fox suggests that Ava Evans would be someone he might but for her politics otherwise approach in a bar

Yep, and I suspect they are probably breaking an Ofcom code, and it certainly adds in part to the country`s malaise.

GB News is an outrage factory that pays lip service to news, but its real agenda is to propagate division and then monetise it like the US models.

Rabid conspiracy theorist (Neil Oliver) rubs shoulders with discredited racist (David Starkey) and pseudo-religious weirdo (Calvin Robinson).

The channel is full of bloviating dingbats, some are faux ideologues (like Fox), and some are just plain nasty and vindictive chancers (like Wootton).

Panders to the seriously hard of thinking...

Hopefully this will be the end of Wootton media wise, as his other major or misdemeanours seem to be taking a while to address.
 
What an incredibly crass thing to say (and allow to say without challenge).

I wonder what on earth goes on in people's heads sometimes. Not finding her attractive is fair enough - but to use that to denigrate her - absolute misogynistic crap.

I wouldn't tarnish the entire news channel based on these two though - we'd end up with nothing to watch if we did that as there's plenty broadcasters and reporters who have less than pure records and it's not how we should operate in a democracy.

FWIW I only watched it on its launch night and found it impossible to take seriously so I haven't watched it since.

They just move online these days, where they can stoke up even more hatred and division. Already the “they’re trying to cancel me” line is being used at least by Fox, and apparently Ava Evans is receiving threats.

Well Fox has said GB News et al were well aware he was going to say those things because they had done a pro recording run. Maybe they’ll suspend themselves. (We can but hope)

I find that most broadcasters don't say such things live on air...what they do off air is completely separate.

What does it say about the channel that they employ such scum who think its OK to say things like that on air, and discuss it prior to the broadcast?

From what I've seen it seemed inappropriate, he should have just attacked her argument, rather than it descend into a pub like conversation.

Having seen her arguments on Piers Morgan, some of them are bonkers.


She apparently downplayed male suicide but it could have been called out without being personal.

Seen tweets where she's using somewhat similar language, so seems a bit hypocritical.

I was just slightly concerned that in your original post you were straying into victim blaming territory, as if she invited Fox's attack and it was in some way justified because of comments she had made previously. I didn't like that.
You were quick to label her as left wing but don't like being called right wing yourself.

Because I've watched many programmes with her on and... she's always on the left maybe? You may as well say how is GB news to the right. It's not stating anything amazing to state what I said.

I‘ve seen her on Piers Morgan. I thought she was sharp as tack, backed up her sh*t and took no prisoners. Some may say a threat to certain others.

Well people seem so quick to label back themselves, based off nothing. I've actually watched and listened to tons she's said. She is definitely both things, nothing controversial about that.

I condemned what was said, calling her out for her views is fair game, not the personal attacks.

I did however show what I had seen, she posted similar language before, which seems a bit crass, especially the one referring to God, which could easily offend some. I imagine if gb news said that about another faith, there would be outrage.

You didn't just say right, you mentioned 99% would be to the left, basically that's far right, which seems unnecessary as I've said it was inappropriate what was said, whereas online there's tons going much much further.

The people I've seen on progrmmes like that seem to have attitudes that are towards that way. Piers is often the voice of reason, which is funny.

Anyway you seem determined to go off about what she refers to herself as.

I was wondering why you thought she was a ‘typical’ lefty feminist. You obviously have a hard wired view of such to describe her as typical.

A toxic view of men is all you came up with really.

I think to be politically left leaning and to hold some feminist views is a lot more than that, and not even that, by definition.

How did Neil Oliver (archaeologist and presenter of BBC TV series “Coast”) become a dingbat-crazy conspiracy theorist now ostracised from mainstream TV ?

She's on the left and a self confessed feminist. A lot of her views are typical of what you'd expect to hear and do hear. I actually said a few examples in my post.

I have to say some of the overreaction to this is amazing.

The initial point she made is completely lost and the fact she's been shown to use similar crude language is ignored. It shouldn’t have been said on tele but ffs.

The amount of coverage this has been getting is hilarious, with many conveniently ignoring how she speaks with similar language on twitter.

Talk TV have been attacking GB news all over the place, as a rival, apart from this...


She's right, the haters of the channel are trying to use this to get it shut down.

I think this has given the Mail a nice ‘get out clause’ to be honest.

It’s only a matter of time surely before things start to ramp up regarding his other alleged wrongdoings. Ergo he’s already a massive employer liability just waiting to erupt. That, and not a very nice man it seems.

Theres nothing wrong with sticking up for womens rights etc, but some of the things she comes out with is too far the other way.
