Lavery, Maxi, Keogh.

Lavery will be a miss certainly, but how great that we have Yates too, who I though looked much more like his old self yesterday. Hopefully Madine stays fit and I think him and Yates can keep us scoring goals.
Yep having Yates and Madine back is a huge plus and that's when you get the best out of Jerry as proven last season when he played alongside Gary and Ellis Simms.

With 2 weeks until our next game now Lavery out from internationals if we are to get injuries over a season this must be a good time. 🤞

Critch said postmatch Shayne hamstring, Maxi quad and RK groin strain.

I'm no medic, but hoping that as RK finished the half then his is minor and he came off to not risk further damage.

Max didn't look in great shape, i suppose it depends on the extent of the damage.

Worried about Shayne, as I always am when a speed merchant does a hamstring. I think CJs initial miss at least last year was the same, and he was out months. So sad for him, everything coming into alignment at the right time, scoring regular for us, selected for NI

Must admit that I wasn't happy when Maxwell decided to play on after the first treatment.
I said that he should go off then, but he hung on and nearly gave a goal away.
He probably aggravated the injury with not going off immediately.

Appear to have good goalkeeping cover in Moore & defensively we are spoilt for choice
but the squad is a bit sparce for strikers have to hope Madine & Yates remain fit.

I believe hamstrings are notoriously slow healers.
Not good news for us but got to feel sorry for Shayne missing his international matches.
I think it’s the international duty that’s probably contributed to this tbh.

He’s gone from a handful of games in the N.Irish league to high intensity football every 4 days for three months. Throw in a bit of international travel into the mix and the risk increases I’d say. I’m not one for wrapping players in cotton wool, but there comes a limit as to what the body can take, and he looked absolutely bollocksed on Tuesday night.

Real shame for him though I agree.

Finger crossed it’s not a bad one.

He got injured on Tuesday then after treatment he appeared OK. Makes you wonder if that 'pull' is related the the quad injury. Get fit soon Max or young gun Moore will keep your shirt ;)

Lavery walked off and was sat on the bench apparently, so who knows.

Hope it's not serious.

However we have Jerry, Madine now played a full game TTJ an option.

Jerry is always better with Madine.

Just got his goal so confidence increased.

Hamstrings can be bad but Lavery is young. If he listens to the clinicians he should be back soon. He should do his R&R back home if he takes life easy. We will know more after the scans. Hope is less than a month.

three key players who've been playing ever so well recently. Lavery one was strange for me. He was harrassing their defender and went down. I heard this almighty uproar from the South as it happened and thought their defender must have done something.

I think the uproar from people around me in the South was because their big CB (I think) came across to stop him by using his weight, which sent Shayne toppling over. Earlier, Madine had been pulled up for doing the same to their CB. Another example of inconsistency from a ref I thought gave them everything in the second half, although that's partly because we were under the cosh I suppose.

I don't think the contact was related to the injury, but not sure.

I think Lavery will be ok, Jerry can come in anyway.

Maxwell and Keogh are potentially bigger losses, the two leaders at the back, fingers crossed.
Husband can step in, however I prefer him at LB, if we rotate Garbutt.

Also we have Gretarson, Connolly and Casey.

Gret with Ekpiteta would be my choice pairing, however Connollys best position is CB and we haven't seen him in it yet, he adds real attacking qualities too.

Jerry back with Madine can only be good news, Lavery will obviously be missed but it might spur Yates on being back in the team.
Maxwell and Keogh are the more important ones in my opinion, I'd like to see Connolly given a go with big Marv and keep Husband as a left back replacement, although he has played CB before.

Moore looks a decent replacement but Maxwell is very important to this team, hopefully the international break has come just at the right time.

Not sure we are spoilt for choice at left centre back, looked decidedly shaky when Husband filled in.

The only one of those three who can give us Keogh's height is Casey!

If he’s fully fit then Gretarsson would be my choice to replace Keogh if he’s out. Looked a classy player last season and he worked really well with Ekpiteta. He’s left sided too which is a bonus.

Not sure Husband is up to it at CB in a back four in the Championship. 2 or 3 basic errors when he came on yesterday. He over commits to too many challenges and gets caught out of position.

Yes to Grettarsen who is a natural left CB and much better CB than Husband, who is a better LB than Garbutt.

If there is one game that Keogh would really want to be back for, it’s the Forest game. They hate him, and he will want to stick it right up them…if he has a chance of being fit, he’ll be ready.

Still don’t get why Max kicked a long ball when he obviously was having trouble with a pull. Why not throw it and see if the pull got better rather than the big make or break test?
