Shows our recruitment policy in a good light already. His value will have gone up a bit after last night and as long as he stays healthy we have got an exciting prospect on our hands.
Free transfer, he was out of contract. What did we pay for him?
He reminds me a bit of Brett when he first arrived to us. He kept blazing them over, until he settled down or was coached. At least Lavery is scoring & with a little more composure/coaching he will be able to add scoring from distance to to his repertoire. It looks like we have unearthed a gem.As Bill Shankly said about Roger Hunt when he missed a couple of sitters "at least he gets in the right place to miss them"
Shayne's movement (especially to the near post as many have noticed) is excellent. I said on a separate thread that we could get offers for him in January if he carries on playing as well as he's started the season. No reason to think he won't either.
Yeah when Brett first arrived he was raw, but I was always disappointed if he wasn't in the starting 11. It was worth going to just see him (almost)This lad can be a Blackpool legend like Brett.
15 would be a very good return given it's his first season at a high level. For me he reminds me of an old fashioned centre forward similar to Morty and others in there day 50/60s.
Not sure how many goals he'll get this season, but 10/15 would'nt surprise me.
